Greetings! Does anyone know the differences in the P15 Deluxe and P15 Special Deluxe trims?

Posted

most noticeable is the use of a horn ring and radio panel as well as a right hand side sun visor on the Special Deluxe  which was also wired for a door switch for the dome light.

all these extras could be added to the Deluxe.  I do not think there was any difference on the exterior trim.

Has  special deluxe spelled with a chrome/stainless emblem just forward of the doors. Also I believe the nose emblem on the hood is different as well.

There were also different front inside window garnish, no chrome trim on the lower part, the switch panel under the middle of the dash was wood grain not chrome. There was a three armed stainless steel star trim piece on the front doors mounted in a circular pressed in design on the door cards. The center of the dash has a deluxe only clousome Mayflower emblem. The ship emblem in the horn button was in a being field and has orange paint for highlights. The escutcheon for the door handles and window winders are also different No lock on the glove box. Arms rests were optional.

My deluxe is a business coupe so there may have been other interior differeces in the rear seat area as regards window and door trim. Rubber mat was used front and rear.
