greg g
Did you inspect for and remove the mylar bar code inventory sticker that Coker puts inside the tires before you mounted them??? If not they will with time and miles chaff the tube sides causing flats.

I've had them on my '31 DeSoto for 8K+ miles with no issues, but very good to know for future projects! Thank you for the info!

It would have never occurred to me to remove them, either. That's the kind of good tip many of us can probably benefit from.

kencombs
What brand/type/size are the hoses, fittings used in the oil filter system? I'm considering a similar setup on my 230 refresh but was concerned about restricting flow to the bearing if the fittings were too small. Any info on locating and drilling the holes would be appreciated also.

I have been asked by a gentleman in Belgium to prepare his TJ Richards-bodied 1933 Dodge Roadster for the 2019 Peking to Paris Rally. While remaining very original in appearance, it will be powered by a meticulously prepared 230, a T5 transmission, and a more modern rear axle to dependably concur the arduous 8,000+ mile trip. Other than those three items the car will remain 100% period correct and unmodified in any way. Stay tuned, it going to be a bumpy ride, pun intended. mind if I ask what T-5 you used? did you go to tremec and buy one or did you find out out of a Chevy/Ford? if so what year? need help doing a similar setup on my
