Skip4play Posted August 23, 2017 Report Posted August 23, 2017 I'm trying to identify this engine. I can't find the serial number any where online. Please help. Quote
Skip4play Posted August 23, 2017 Author Report Posted August 23, 2017 Other numbers on the block are: 512113 G 10 1 P3 514245 Quote
Skip4play Posted August 23, 2017 Author Report Posted August 23, 2017 The serial number begins with N. I'll get the exact serial number on the block in a couple of hours Quote
Merle Coggins Posted August 23, 2017 Report Posted August 23, 2017 It doesn't look like a Mopar flathead to me. Maybe a Ford or International I6 engine? 1 Quote
Cebreros Posted August 23, 2017 Report Posted August 23, 2017 Yup, I have no idea on the answer to this post but just wanted to throw in that some Hudson flatheads had that casting stripe running along the center and sides of the head but this is not a Hudson. Quote
greg g Posted August 23, 2017 Report Posted August 23, 2017 Those welsh plugs are pretty good indication it is not Mopar, can you post pics of the manifold side. I think all those flat head six designers were all cousins if not brothers, they look very much alike. Quote

Niel Hoback Posted August 24, 2017 Report Posted August 24, 2017 The ribs on the head are a little Packard-like. Quote
Niel Hoback Posted August 24, 2017 Report Posted August 24, 2017 Correction, Pontiac/Oldsmobile. Quote
greg g Posted August 24, 2017 Report Posted August 24, 2017 How long is the head? 28 inches rules out mopar. Quote
dpollo Posted August 25, 2017 Report Posted August 25, 2017 The Hudson looks close except for the number of "frost" plugs and the heater pipe on the cylinder head. My money (canadian dollars) is on Pontiac Quote
