Jeff Balazs Posted April 28, 2016 Report Posted April 28, 2016 I have an idea for an accessory that would look cool with the 48-52 truck hubcap design on it. Was wondering if anyone knew what the font is? Thanks, Jeff Quote
Merle Coggins Posted April 28, 2016 Report Posted April 28, 2016 As it's a logo I would imagine that it's a Dodge propitiatory font. Quote
TodFitch Posted April 28, 2016 Report Posted April 28, 2016 Back in that era it almost certainly would have been created by hand by an expert illustrator/artist/typographer and while perhaps based on other typography of the time is most likely unique. 1 Quote
rb1949 Posted April 28, 2016 Report Posted April 28, 2016 Like license plates, the fonts are usually custom design. Have no idea what it looks like, but can you take a picture and manipulate it in a graphics program? Quote
JBNeal Posted April 29, 2016 Report Posted April 29, 2016 just a thought: do a tracing of a hubcap with a piece of paper and a #2 pencil, to get the artwork from the semi-sphere to a flat surface...that can be scanned into a PC for scaling, reproduction, etc. 1 Quote
