stan's52 Posted March 12, 2016 Report Posted March 12, 2016 My head liner is about the only thing good in my 52 Concord coupe. I don't want to remov it just to run new wires to the rear tail lights. I am thinking of running the wire under the floor mat, or running it through the rocker channel. Anyone done something like this? What wire size will be good? Thanks for any info. Stan Quote
suntennis Posted March 12, 2016 Report Posted March 12, 2016 Keep it simple and run the wire of 16 gage or larger under the floor mat. The service manual shows 16 gage wire for tail lights. Quote
Young Ed Posted March 12, 2016 Report Posted March 12, 2016 No reason not to. Thats what the convertibles have. Believe it runs along side the hump. Quote
White Spyder Posted March 13, 2016 Report Posted March 13, 2016 (edited) I ran them under the carpet when I wired my car. Quick and easy to do. Edited March 13, 2016 by White Spyder Quote
1950 Special Deluxe Posted March 13, 2016 Report Posted March 13, 2016 My Canadian Dodge has dealer installed signal lights. They became factory in 51. When I rewired it, you could see where they had cut the wires under the dash and added the signal light wires. The wires were then run under the carpet to the trunk and then to the signal/brake lights. The sockets were changed as well to allow dual pin bulbs. Quote
deathbound Posted March 13, 2016 Report Posted March 13, 2016 On my '38, they run along the inside of the driver's side frame rail. Looks like they had factory style clips securing the loom. Quote
