I don't see the connection between the legalization of pot and hi bars.

Hi bars make people happy.

Pot makes people happy.

I am just guessing here, I have never tried hi bars, my Goldwing is just fine the way it is....

I like the skirts way more than mine because they are much taller.

I think my skirts are too short, and in fact barely cover the opening.

I imagine that's because they're some kind of universal/aftermarket types.

SQ4MN, thanks for your posts... I really enjoy reading how it was "back in the day in SoCal". Reading how we set up our cars... Like you said, to each their own. That's what makes this hobby so enjoyable.

Ulu........that skirt pictured looks like a Foxcraft brand...........aftermarket, as they were all aftermarket for these

cars.

The 49 and 50 Chevies and Ponitacs came with factory skirts that fit inside the fender openings.

But not Fords or Mopars.

OK Tim........but they look larger than that.   How do they attach.

The Foxcrafts usually had a springy piece of wire on each bottom end, and a

latch that you turned to hook at the top........held against the face of the fender.

(Could these be for a ford? I've always though them a tad too low.)

Are those steel? They look nice. Is that a Dodge door garnish trim?

My skirts are 33 3/4" long by 11" tall.  They overlap the opening by an inch or more all around.

I put a small sheet metal screw in each end to secure them as the original mounting hardware

was missing and I had to invent some of my own, which was not as good as I would have liked.

I had some before them that were too short up and down........think they were for a Ford........sold them.

These are just universal......don't know what they were listed to fit when new.
