The support is in.  Had to make a few adjustments on it. And still need to do some fill welding.  Rust replacement on the body is done.  Now on to the doors and rear fenders.

The guy that makes the brace is the one making Plymouth Doctor's stuff. I figure why pay PD to be a middle man.

.....and pay for something, then get strung along for months on end, send unanswered e-mails, make unanswered phone calls....etc,etc.

Did some surgery today. I only removed the outside skin on the original.  I wanted to use what was left of the inside to get the new skin in the correct place.  Once the skin is fully welded I will then cut the inside and use the newly replaced outside to get the correct placement and cut.

Niel, until I started this coupe I had done zero cancer exorcism. No previous metal experience. I just take my time, measure 3 to 4 times, remeasure, make an offering to the metal gods and cut, then weld.  Seems to work out.  One just has to take the first step and "get er done".

Ran out of welding wire last night so I decided to sandblast the trunk lid.  Noticed two odd things about it.  No primer under the paint on the inside and the inside sides are strangely different.  one has the side ridge that goes all the way from bottom to top and the other side has about 1 foot in the middle without it.  See photo.

Started stripping the right front fender tonight.  I never paid much attention to the front fenders as about all that I could see when I got it was the huge holes in the sides.  Anyway, some rust on this one also.  Both front and rear bottoms are rusted out.  Seems to be an old patch on the rear towards the bottom see last photo.  It's leaded but looks as if it was slapped on top of the fender and then leaded.

Yes it was dark green.  And I'm going back with a very dark green but not close to original.

One more piece ready for final body work.  Hopefully after the front fenders I have no more rust to replace.  It's getting really old.

A little more progress.

BTW,what brand and type of primer and top coat did you use to paint the chassis and suspension?
