DENISONS 1946 D24 Posted January 28, 2014 Report Posted January 28, 2014 Hello lets try this again got this old car to cruise around has the i6 and 6v fluid drive and runs great. then I thought its a little ruff and needs a little work. so new wheel, master cylinders then for the rust thing a lot of it.. more then I should try and fix that's where the door handle post came from just wondered if anybody sold new ones or not its pivoting on the cover don't know how a 1/4 piece of metal rusts away like that,But it is a pretty cool old car that my 16 yr son likes. so we are going to tackle the rust the best as we can. this winter then get it back on the road for spring We are going to put pictures up but was wondering what is the best way to put a lot of them up, not real good on the posting thing Patrick Quote
_shel_ny Posted January 28, 2014 Report Posted January 28, 2014 (edited) Easiest I find for pics is to scroll down a bit to where you see attach files. Browse to select pics from your computer files. The size of the pics will determine how many you can attach in each post. Other methods available if your pics are hosted on a website. EDIT: previously posted If replying to a post (even your own) I find pics from my computer are the easiest. In the "reply to this topic" section, look to the right. click "more reply options" Scroll down to the "attach files" area, then browse your computer pics and attach your file. You can preview to see if it is to big, too small, or not there before hitting "add reply" Edited January 28, 2014 by shel_ny Quote
Frank Elder Posted January 28, 2014 Report Posted January 28, 2014 We are going to put pictures up but was wondering what is the best way to put a lot of them up, not real good on the posting thing Patrick Your son has probably been posting pictures over half his life lol....maybe you should take lessons from him. Good luck with your car Patrick....Maybe take a picture of you 2 with the car! Quote
jcmiller Posted January 28, 2014 Report Posted January 28, 2014 There is a guy parting out a D-24 in the buy/sell section of the AACA forum who might have hinges. He recently posted. If I'm reading the parts manual correctly, the P-15 hinges won't interchange, but Desoto and Chrysler will. Quote
DENISONS 1946 D24 Posted January 28, 2014 Author Report Posted January 28, 2014 Zach and I with some pictures not in order but shows some rust working on how to do more at once. Quote

Young Ed Posted February 9, 2014 Report Posted February 9, 2014 For plymouths Model 36 is the cheapest one listed. Its also the same as my 46 pickup which is where this one lives. The next level up are these. I am not sure how many combinations you could have but I think it was the fresh air box with pass side only and then the addition of the drivers side heater core. I am not sure if you could have this heater box without the fresh air option. These are my heaters in my 48 plymouth. The fans and fan covers are missing in the shot. Quote
Niel Hoback Posted February 10, 2014 Report Posted February 10, 2014 The second type you show is in my P-15. There is no fresh air inlet. It only recirculates inside air. Quote

Dave72dt Posted May 15, 2014 Report Posted May 15, 2014 http://s62.photobucket.com/user/andzac/library/?view=recent&page=1 It looks like the link opened up all the build pics. It's obvious a lot of work has gone into the rebirth of what many would have said was destined for the crusher. Patience, perseverance and "can do " attitude shows what can be accomplished and this is a very good example. Keep it up, I'm in your corner. Quote

Don Coatney Posted May 24, 2014 Report Posted May 24, 2014 I dislike the red and green but it is not my car. Your likes are all that counts. Do it your way. Quote
casper50 Posted May 24, 2014 Report Posted May 24, 2014 I agree with Don. But when I'm done with my car I'm positive someone will dislike something about it also. I really won't care. Have fun with it and do it your way. Quote
_shel_ny Posted May 24, 2014 Report Posted May 24, 2014 As said, your car, your choice, but because you asked--- I don't like the red or green bumpers. It pulls your attention away from the car. Don't like the green wheels either. Red wheels, maybe with a hub cap. I prefer wheels that match body color, or black, which in this case is redundant Quote
Young Ed Posted May 24, 2014 Report Posted May 24, 2014 I think we need to know your plans for the body before stating anything. Are you planning to eventually paint the entire car red green or?? Quote
