pflaming Posted November 24, 2013 Report Posted November 24, 2013 Too bad it's only a single seat car. Otherwise would be a great retirement car. Quote
LAKOTA169 Posted November 25, 2013 Report Posted November 25, 2013 Too bad it's only a single seat car. Otherwise would be a great retirement car. It seats a driver and a rear seat passenger. Quote
RobertKB Posted November 25, 2013 Report Posted November 25, 2013 (edited) http://www.eliomotors.com/ I hope they make it. I hope they make it as well. It is certainly a car that makes sense in many ways. Good fuel efficiency, low cost, environmentally friendly. Just like a Crosley but I hope it has a better fate. I think it will as the cost of fuel is only going to go up. In the Crosley's time, fuel was plentiful and cheap so burn, baby, burn. I can't believe the mileage as I believe it has to be twice what the Smart car gets. Thanks for posting. Edited November 25, 2013 by RobertKB Quote
pflaming Posted November 25, 2013 Report Posted November 25, 2013 (edited) If they made a convertible or put a 'glass' top like the small jet fighters have, it would be a fun cross country vehicle. I wonder if it has A/C, I would guess so. Edited November 25, 2013 by pflaming Quote
Don Coatney Posted November 25, 2013 Report Posted November 25, 2013 Looks like a Messerschmidt. I once owned the one pictured below leaning against the garage. This 3 wheeler has a Sachs 2 stroke scooter engine. This engine has an extra set of ignition points that function as a means to back up. Simply stop and kill the engine, switch to the other set of points, and start the engine running backwards. This is what a finished one looks like. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WC3Y3O8y_2c Quote
oldodge41 Posted November 26, 2013 Author Report Posted November 26, 2013 It will amaze me if they sell for the $6800 they claim. Seems like a steal at that price. Quote
Niel Hoback Posted November 26, 2013 Report Posted November 26, 2013 I picture it stuck in the grille of a Peterbuilt. Quote
RobertKB Posted November 26, 2013 Report Posted November 26, 2013 I picture it stuck in the grille of a Peterbuilt. An Escalade could get stuck in the grille of a Peterbilt. Any car hit by a semi will not win. My son has driven/drives Peterbilts, Kenworths, Internationals, Freightliners, etc. and I wouldn't want to be hit by any of them at speed no matter what the car. Those suckers are BIG!! Quote
48Dodger Posted December 4, 2013 Report Posted December 4, 2013 Looks like a Motorcycle with some protection. I like it. I bought my Honda Foreman ES for 6500.00 (ATV). If this is a long standing price on new vehicle....it could come down in price, not to mention with some competition. 48D http://nerdbeach.com/proxima-vehicle-seeks-to-merge-car-and-motorcycle/ http://www.city-data.com/forum/automotive/1136151-amazing-3-wheel-car-amusing-retrospective.html Quote
48Dodger Posted December 4, 2013 Report Posted December 4, 2013 Jay Leno driving the new 3 wheeler from Morgan Motors in 2011. Price, I believe, is @ 45,000 bucks. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_CvVr9jU4I0 48D Quote
