Looks like one built by Moose....he hand makes intake/header combos like this for our flatties. Once i save up some more scratch I plan on buying a 2x1 setup from him.

Yeah, that's one of mine.  I built that for Ron a long time ago, and he made it look good.  Shame he had to sell it, now this guy just wants to profit.

Looks like one originally out of North Carolina that was in Car Kulture Deluxe or Old School Rods a few years ago... except for the chop top and the grille. Otherwise the car is identical, black with a brown dash and heater delete. I wouldn't mind having that around here.

This is horribly sad.

I sold this car against my gut instinct. I had a guy contact me to buy a car. I started to describe a 34 Plymouth that I was selling and he said that was the wrong car. I told him that was the only one I was selling. He asked about the 51 and I gave him all the details. He asked me how much, I said it was not for sale. He asked if I would send him pics and I did. He then bothered me for a few days after that and finally I decided to give him an "I don't want to sell it" price. He agreed to it and I could not believe that I am selling my car.

He was a high end street rodder and I assured him that this car was primitive but he wanted something to "fit" his new style. He swore, the next time I would see it that it would be completed. I then hear a few months later that it's on Craigslist for $2000 less than I sold it to him for. He added glass, changed the headlight rings back to stock and reinstalled the factory grill and trim.

Now I find this. Sad. It now doesn't even have a title! Crazy!

I truly enjoyed everything about this car. I rebuilt and modified everything myself. Put over 36,000 miles on it. It was a piece of me. It was my mistake that I sold it.

BTW...I sold it for just under $10,000

How it looked when I sold it;

My car was not for everyone but it was built for me.

build to suit yourself..not others...I always liked your car though as it was different and not shot full of billet....sad the new owner changed what he did but you got to remember, once it  is out of your hands..you have no hand in it at all..

Good to hear from you Ron. It is always sad to see what others do to change your creation. But as you said you got the "not for sale" price so that should cheer you up.

You and Tim are correct. I just didn't expect to see this. I've been on hiatus for a while finishing up 2 other projects. I'm getting ready to get another on the road so I have the Plymouth bug again.

Funny thing is, the car I'm about to have on the road was highly modified from the previous owner and I'm changing 90% of it. He'll probably feel the same. Haha...I doubt it.

When you get ready to sell that binder 4X4 pickup put me on the top of the "I want to sell" list. I promise I wont change a thing until I buy it.

Don, you're a "fungi"!
