Don Coatney Posted May 5, 2013 Report Posted May 5, 2013 I will share this with all the folks at Lowes who sell Whirlpools Quote
greg g Posted May 5, 2013 Report Posted May 5, 2013 One would think that the engineers would have placed some sort of out of balance shut off switch built in to save a machine that far out of whack. Quote
Dodgeb4ya Posted May 5, 2013 Author Report Posted May 5, 2013 I think the machine had the safety's disabled. The machine shouldn't have operated with the door open either! Quote
Don Coatney Posted May 5, 2013 Report Posted May 5, 2013 Looked like the power cord was connected directly to the drum motor. Quote
Dodgeb4ya Posted May 5, 2013 Author Report Posted May 5, 2013 Thats right Don, I saw that drum and motor assembly rolling around with the cord hooked to it. All to make sure the thing ran and ran with out interuptions for our enjoyment! Quote
Don Coatney Posted May 5, 2013 Report Posted May 5, 2013 I have a very good friend in Ohio (we first met in 1964) who once owned a business that sold all kinds of business machines. Annually he would hold a business machine shootout. Several of us would load all of our weapons (shotguns, rifels, pistols, cannons, ETC.) and blow the crap out of the culled copiers, typewriters, printers, ETC. I miss all the fun we had doing that. He is putting on a shindig to celebrate his 30th wedding later this month and I will be driving my Pilgrum to the celebration. I might get a chance to once again blow some stuff up. Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted May 5, 2013 Report Posted May 5, 2013 maybe he will have a few chevies out there for pop shots.. Quote
Don Coatney Posted May 6, 2013 Report Posted May 6, 2013 You might get a kick out of his invite. Quote
