Larry Leibhart Posted February 28, 2013 Report Posted February 28, 2013 My advice do not sell. Probably what everyone else on the forum thinks. I would just like some closer pictures of the beast. Sure looks neat. Larry Quote
Todd B Posted February 28, 2013 Author Report Posted February 28, 2013 I have a hard time with the new forum posting pictures. They are too large of photos and I don't get how to make work. My dahghter came over and made my photo by the name work. If any advise on how to change my picture I would appreciate it. Quote

That way it loads up as a smaller and more acceptable file size. You shoul dhae a standard photo editor program stock on your computer, you just have to look thru the headings for "resize". Don Coatney Posted February 28, 2013 Report Posted February 28, 2013 If I had room and cash I would buy your semi in a heartbeat. Hate to see you sell and I hope you find a good buyer. You have a piece of history. Quote
Todd B Posted March 1, 2013 Author Report Posted March 1, 2013 I figured out how to resize now I can't find where the attachment button is. HELP Quote
Merle Coggins Posted March 1, 2013 Report Posted March 1, 2013 Sorry to hear you are looking to unload your pride and joy. I'd love to take it off your hands, but even if I had the funds I have no place to keep it. How much are you looking to get for it? Quote

ggdad1951 Posted March 1, 2013 Report Posted March 1, 2013 I'm with Merle, sad yo see you let it go and I wish I had the space and money to get it from you...beautiful rig. Just think what you could do at a Vikes game hauling that in to unload for a tailgate! I'd even let Packer fans party with me! Quote
Merle Coggins Posted March 1, 2013 Report Posted March 1, 2013 That's a 'Packer Country' truck, Mark. It wouldn't fair well in purple. Quote
1952B3b23 Posted March 1, 2013 Report Posted March 1, 2013 Thats an amazing looking truck, i wish i had the extra $ to spend on something like that! Heres kind of a random question... but did those pilot house semis have some form of power steering or steering assist? Seems like it would be quite the work out to manuver. -Chris Quote

Merle I hate to admit this but the dark color on my semi actually has a deep puple tint to it. Thats an amazing looking truck, i wish i had the extra $ to spend on something like that! I have a swing out steps and back porch designed in my head. I would sell it to a Viking fan as long as they promise not to put #4 on it. Quote

austinsailor Posted March 2, 2013 Report Posted March 2, 2013 I'm curious - does it have the 413 flathead six? Not sure if that started in 53 or 54. I have a 47 3 ton road tractor, no trailer. It doesn't steer half bad. Wheel is pretty big, gear ratio is pretty low and it works good. Quote

If it turned out anything like your last one, the "log cabin", it would be AWESOME. Edited March 2, 2013 by Merle Coggins Quote

Dodgeb4ya Posted March 3, 2013 Report Posted March 3, 2013 1954 was first year of power steering for dodge trucks-that was on the 4 ton six cylinder C-1-YA seies trucks. Quote
