faucet47custom
I haven't read thru the forum in a while but I noticed 2 things, first happy birthday Mr Adams, second I happen to reside in the douglasville area. Where did you acquire your donor vehicle? Next time you're in the Atlanta metro area, let me know and I'll buy you a cup of coffee.
Plymouthy Adams
Wayne..being a cold wet day in Douglasville when I traveled to get the truck..I would have enjoyed a hot cup of coffee and a visit with you...just not that familar with Douglasville to say where but I bought it from an individual who had it stored at his friends business. I usually move fast when I locate an item..found this truck on a Saturday evening..had it at my house on Monday. NBow that I know the immediate Atlanta area you in..if next in the vicinity would love to come by and see how the D24 is progressing. yourpc48
Hey Tim. Good to see all that progress so quickly. Sorry to hear you didnt have family hanging out today. I had some but I managed to put in some time on mine too. Is the rear end the same width on that Dakota as the original? I have yet to change the rear in mine. Will you have the car put together for the summer?
Plymouthy Adams
Did not use the Dakota gear..6 lug axles..wrong ratio for my set up plus would require sending out of town to change pattern..8 3/4 was the obvious answer..else, the Dakota would have done fine. Desotodav
I have often wondered what Dakota's are when I have heard you guys talking about them. I guess yours are nothing like this one on Epay over here at present as it has no rear end???... http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/1987-DODGE-CHRYSLER-DAKOTA-UTE-EXTREMELY-LOW-KMS-/120834044493?pt=AU_Cars&hash=item1c2245324d#ht_500wt_1413 . dndrodshop
Per the ebay details a one of a kind non-road, front wheel drive prototype.
yourpc48
I was going to say.... Looks odd being a front wheel drive and all. Thats not normal for that truck.
greg g
very interesting concept. Certainly could see how that would be a handy feature, The hoop must be in place to stiffen the box area in place of the missing cross members.
