JIPJOBXX Posted November 7, 2011 Report Posted November 7, 2011 I bought this weekend a tow bar set up and was wondering if anyone here has made a perminet set up to attached a tow bar to there rig. Of couse this is only the brakets that one would attach the bars to under the front bumper. Thanks Jon:cool: Quote
JIPJOBXX Posted November 7, 2011 Author Report Posted November 7, 2011 Yea I do also but it would be nice just to tow it to a car show over a weekend and use my motor home for a comfy place to rest and sleep in. Quote

I figured thats probably what you were up to. The guy I bought my p15 from towed it with a tow bar from Wyoming to Minnesota. However the way he did it envolved removing the front bumper. Not exactly convenient for your purposes. Quote
JIPJOBXX Posted November 7, 2011 Author Report Posted November 7, 2011 Well I thought I could manufature some brackets to attach to the frame and run them up under the bumper. Its lousy weather outside today but I might just go out and look under the front end and see what is there to work with. Quote
Robert Horne Posted November 8, 2011 Report Posted November 8, 2011 I have seen several small cars that have tow brackets attached to the frame from the factory. I made a tow bar to tow my 38s around the property until I got them driveable. I used flat stock and a trailer hitch. Quote
JIPJOBXX Posted November 8, 2011 Author Report Posted November 8, 2011 Think I will just go back to a two wheel car trailer and for get about the hitch device. So oft it goes to Craigs list! Quote
Robert Horne Posted November 9, 2011 Report Posted November 9, 2011 I made a simple tow bar years ago for moving cars around the property. I bought the second one, $50, that has several different attachments. Quote

LAKOTA169 Posted November 9, 2011 Report Posted November 9, 2011 I had brackets welded to the front of my GTO so I could tow it to the drag strip. Quote
Dodgeb4ya Posted November 9, 2011 Report Posted November 9, 2011 With that very nice and showy expensive motor home I would think you should spend some big cash and buy a nice fully enclosed all aluminum tandem axle deluxe car trailer. Quote
JIPJOBXX Posted November 9, 2011 Author Report Posted November 9, 2011 That motor home I bought six years ago and it paid for. But I do not think a car trailer is in my financial future. I'm looking for that trailer I mentioned. But now it winter and I have a few months to locate one at a fair price. Quote
