BobT-47P15 Posted November 7, 2011 Report Posted November 7, 2011 Sounds like a person needed Pepto Bismol for the Motor. Don't recall seeing that ad before. Quote
greg g Posted November 7, 2011 Author Report Posted November 7, 2011 (edited) found these. No exotic additive, just a regular motoring product from Shell Oil. artist is Boris Artzybasheff (look him up) Edited November 7, 2011 by greg g Quote

55 Fargo Posted November 7, 2011 Report Posted November 7, 2011 Any decent oil additive will take care of this sludgsters, especially Marvel Mystery Oil, one of the best besides Lucas Oil Stabilizer, or was it STP, or maybe Risilone, oh well ask Don Coatney, which oil additve is best......LOL Quote

Plymouthy Adams Posted November 7, 2011 Report Posted November 7, 2011 Rislone is the only additive I will put in a crankcase... Quote
captden29 Posted November 7, 2011 Report Posted November 7, 2011 i do not use any oil additives as there are enough in there already for our old engines. i do add chevron techron to a full fuel tank and run it through every oil change. i will occasionally put a little marvel mystery oil in the fuel, and i use sta--bil fuel stabilizer if i know i will not be using the car for a long time, such as when i winterized it when i lived in NY. otherwise additves are a waste of my money. capt den Quote
55 Fargo Posted November 7, 2011 Report Posted November 7, 2011 Rislone is the only additive I will put in a crankcase... I have also used Rislone, any particular about this product as compared to the rest of the additives.... Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted November 7, 2011 Report Posted November 7, 2011 yeah..it works as it is intended..no snake oil..I use it in high mileage engines with hydraulic lifters.. Quote
