I had to come up with a new way to activate my horns after I converted to a rack and pinyon steering unit. Despite my efforts to keep this car build simple this little project got complicated on me. I feel it took far too much time but on the other hand it should give years of trouble free use. Now I just hope I do not discover an easy cheap way to do the same thing that would have saved me all my time and grief!

Here is a link to a photo description of how I used parts of an electric drill to make the modification.

A certain Mr. Goldberg would be very, very proud of you son..........Honk Baby Honk.

nice adaptation of stuff.

I was cobbling up a deal the other day putting a Toro brand grass/leaf catcher on my John Deere lawn tractor. My wife looked at it and said, "Well now I know why you save all that stuff".

I worked so well that she took over. Felt like Huck Finn for a while.

"Well now I know why you save all that stuff". My wife said the same thing today at lunch. I had just sold for scrap 297 lbs of old nuts, bolts and washers from amy 40 year collection. 103 lbs of lead and lesser amounts of brass and aluminum, all for $80.

Neil, you are commenting about scrap metal in my complicated technical automotive thread! OK, I get it. From now on I will go with all aluminum billet over the counter solutions. When nothing works and my car still does not run, I will be able to take all the aluminum to the recycle place and save face with my wife. Thanks, you guys, for a good morning laugh.
