Oldguy48 Posted October 6, 2011 Report Posted October 6, 2011 Here's a few pics of my P15. Still a work in progress, but she runs, she drives, she's a blast to drive. Quote
Jim Yergin Posted October 7, 2011 Report Posted October 7, 2011 Thats cool that you could get the pics in the same place Jim. Do you own the house too? Yes, that is my house. As Don posted, it was originally built as a tavern in 1823. Jim Yergin Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted October 7, 2011 Report Posted October 7, 2011 Bob are you reverting back to the factory yellow or sticking with the close Ford color? Ed, I'm going to stay with the 1967 Ford "Springtime Yellow" as I think that particular shade looks good. I think the original Charlotte Ivory is a little more tan-ish and a little more pale. This will be it's third paint job in that same color. Quote
Frank Elder Posted October 7, 2011 Report Posted October 7, 2011 You should get someone to pinstripe a tornado on the trunk Bob, then we can call you Twister Toft!!! Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted October 7, 2011 Report Posted October 7, 2011 Now, there's an idea........... Some pretty original thinkers on here. Quote
40plyrod Posted October 7, 2011 Report Posted October 7, 2011 That refrigerator in your picture sure looks a lot like my 1938 Kelvinator Don it's a leonard, national electrical service made by nothern electric company. I'm not sure what year it's from but it looks a lot like your's inside except I removed the freezer part and put in shelves. I use it to hold all my paint cans and painting supplies. I've got the dial inside permenatly set to vacation:D Quote
Reg Evans Posted October 7, 2011 Report Posted October 7, 2011 My collection as of a couple of years ago. The wagon on the end has been sold. 1 Quote
Young Ed Posted October 7, 2011 Report Posted October 7, 2011 Reg I didn't know you sold that wagon! sucky Quote
Reg Evans Posted October 7, 2011 Report Posted October 7, 2011 Yeah....the economy made me do it. I do miss it. The buyer resold it to a new owner somewhere across the Atlantic. Quote
Young Ed Posted October 7, 2011 Report Posted October 7, 2011 Well more than likely it was more $ than I could have afforded but I would have loved to own it. Quote
Cpt.Fred Posted October 8, 2011 Report Posted October 8, 2011 wow! super nice, clean car. love it! Quote
Captain Neon Posted October 8, 2011 Report Posted October 8, 2011 Well more than likely it was more $ than I could have afforded but I would have loved to own it. I'm partial to the '57 to '60 MoPar fin-mobiles my self. Were I expecting a new arrival my self, I would also be partial to a wagon. Quote
scottyv47 Posted October 8, 2011 Report Posted October 8, 2011 i just got this 41 yesterday, i was looking for a 39, but couldn't pass up the price of this 41, picked it up in a hurry, never looked inside, when i got it home had a big surprise, boxes of parts for it, all original "nos" parts, including radio, heater, all window cranks and levers, lots of spare trim, and many other parts, the car is i little too rought to do a nut/bolt resto, but i've always wanted to build a period correct gasser, i just picked up a 62 imperial, that runs but its rusted beond repair, so i'm using the 413/torqueflight and rear, i'm still looking for a straight axle, and a few other parts, also i'l be selling everything i don't use from the original stuff Quote
Cpt.Fred Posted October 8, 2011 Report Posted October 8, 2011 looks like a great project, keep us posted! Quote
Captain Neon Posted October 9, 2011 Report Posted October 9, 2011 Here's one from Labour Day weekend. Quote
mrwrstory Posted October 10, 2011 Report Posted October 10, 2011 The '48 has been "under construction" for way too long. 360 engine and OD trans were pulled last week for final appearance freshening. I'll have plenty of P-15 project progress pics to preuse pretty soon The '40 sits in the driveway waiting for the knife,....or the wrench. I've promised my wife I will only work on it after the '48 is running and one of my cars has sold Quote
Cpt.Fred Posted October 10, 2011 Report Posted October 10, 2011 don't use the knife on the 40, it's a beauty Quote
1940plymouth Posted October 10, 2011 Report Posted October 10, 2011 don't use the knife on the 40, it's a beauty Being a proud owner of a 1940 Plymouth also, I agree with Fred Quote
Niel Hoback Posted October 10, 2011 Report Posted October 10, 2011 Me too, thats too nice a car to cut up. Quote

mrwrstory Posted October 10, 2011 Report Posted October 10, 2011 The '40 sits in the driveway waiting for the knife,....or the wrench. Yeah,..."knife" was to inflamitory a word. Sorry! Didn't mean to push any buttons. But,....it still will be modified for performance while retaining the stock (except for wheels and tires) appearance. Quote
