I finally got the bed, tailgate, and rear fenders worked over and got this truck back together. Not such a hard job, as it turned out, but it has been hell getting the time, what with having remodeled my daughter's house, and been working on mine, all when not making a living, ect. ect..

Now hoping I can get back to work on that 36 Plymouth I bought last summer that was in the tall weeds. Joel

Very nice, I love the way you accented the box in 2 colors. You need to be proud.

Funny you post that pic, I was just at a local toy auction a few weeks back and they had a dodge JD truck, but it had all the vintage logo's and decals on it, those decals wern't out when that truck was built if I know my history....cool toy either way.

Looks great! I like the yellow accent on the bed.

But the whole town said he should have used RED!

Thanks Don. I LIKE that video! I have the Joe Diffe cd , and that was my wife's favorite song on it. I haven't figured a cd player in this one, as it's still on 6 volts. I have the radio for this truck, but haven't gotten it installed yet. Hard to go back to strictly am after having fm so long now.

Thanks to everyone. The paint is Van Sickle's John Deere Greene, and their John Deere safety yellow, which I get at Atwoods farm/ranch store. We have used this paint on implements and trailers, ect., and it is very easy to work with, holds up good, and the best part for me, is it is cheap. Makes a very decent 20'er.

FM/CD/MP3 will spoil ya on AM...I saw this in Hemmings and did a search on the internets awhile back and found several vendors that will pull the guts of yer old tube-type radio and install solid-state AM/FM, with optional jacks for CD or MP3, and can operate on 6V or 12V, your decision. It'll give ya the appearance of the correct radio, and the option of modern media. The last estimate I got cost about as much as a new decent AM/FM/MP3 unit.

This is where I had my Chevy's radio restored and FM converted: http://www.bobsradio.com/

Bob did a hell of a job and is a nice guy to deal with, very helpful on the phone. In all his years of vintage radios, even he has not seen a 610-T!

Joel, your rig looks cool! Great job!
