Any body know where I can purchase a fuel sending unit? I checked 3 tanks all are junk.

Thanks, Todd B

I got a JC Whitney one and did the minor adjustments to make it work and put a ground wire on it. It was cheaper and works fine. There is a thread that shows how to do the swap.

Only if he is dealing with a 49 or later with the single wire sender.

Neither his post nor his profile lists the car type. And while I remember what some poster's cars are on this forum I don't remember all. I guess since the main focus of the forum is 46-48 we should assume a two wire sender. And the modification of a modern universal sending unit won't work for that.

I followed the clubs advice and noticed that the ones sold are 6 volt. Do I have to restrict the volts from 12 to 6??
