Plymouthy Adams Posted June 26, 2011 Report Posted June 26, 2011 If you are looking for a finished truck, this one is the way to go..yuk on the red wheels though...those would have to go back to the paint shop... Quote
Don Coatney Posted June 26, 2011 Report Posted June 26, 2011 I agree it looks like a nice truck except for the red wheels. But with a buy it now price of twenty grand I wonder what the reserve price is? Quote
dontknowitall Posted June 26, 2011 Author Report Posted June 26, 2011 agree the red has to go.. Quote
Merle Coggins Posted June 26, 2011 Report Posted June 26, 2011 x4 on the red wheels. Never have liked them. Also, another case of the seller not knowing what he's selling. It's not a W100 and it most likely doesn't have an auto trans, rather a 3 speed column shift. The serial # shows that it's an "X" model which means that it has the updates that carried over to the B2 models, column shift, under dash parking brake, and higher output generator. Merle Quote
Don Coatney Posted June 26, 2011 Report Posted June 26, 2011 The seller is a dealer so not knowing does not surprise me. Quote
Reg Evans Posted June 26, 2011 Report Posted June 26, 2011 Some more picking.........50's Ford rear bumper, wrong heater, mismatched dash knob, peep mirrors. But nice. Quote
Scruffy49 Posted June 26, 2011 Report Posted June 26, 2011 I like the peep mirrors. Never have liked the stock driver side on mine, even before the factory glass broke. Replaced with stainless generic round and the screws stripped... Red wheels look bad. Like the caps and trim rings though. Never fond of the stock black bed, they look so much better solid color or Spring Special style paint. Restored? Yeah right. Stainless strips, furniture finished bed, wrong wheel color... It has potential. Quote
Dave72dt Posted June 27, 2011 Report Posted June 27, 2011 I have no problem with a stock black bed. No one mentioned the whitewalls! They make those red wheels look like targets! Get some blackwalls on some black rims and the standard paint scheme looks natural once again. Quote

There is a place for wide whites, a place for skinny whites, a place for raised white letters, and a place for blackwalls. On a truck blackwalls or raised white letters is the way to go in my opinion. Quote
