jorswift
Anyone know what size and type of rims these are? This is what I kind of want to do. Paint them red and have a bit of chrome in the middle. Thanks.
Martin53Cranbrook
the picture is small but they look like stock steel wheels
Plymouthy Adams
those look like stock rims painted red with spider caps on..the type that cover the lug nuts and the grease cap only...tried to save the pic and enlarge but pixeled out before I could get a good look.. jorswift
Thanks. I need to find some stock rims. I have some nasty ugly ones on now. Anyone know of any leads? Thanks.
hkestes41
Stock P15 wheels will not look right with Spider Caps because of the hubcap clips. What you would need to do is either remove the hubcap clips or find a later model Mopar/Ford steel OEM style wheel without the clips. I think you are looking for something like this. These are called Spider Caps and a new set will run you around $150 - $200. You can get pretty much the same look by going with push in chrome bullets in the center and chrome lug nuts if you convert to studs or chrome lug bolts if you can find them. The wheel with the clips is actually a Lincoln wheel but I couldn't find a decent photo of a P15 wheel with the clips. You will get the idea though, the clips sticking up around the spider caps would look kind of cheezy.
jorswift
I wouldn't mind the stockers with the trim clip inside and the rim painted red. Gives it a nicer touch. I dunno just need to find some rims I guess. Thanks.
Smokeybear
If I can find two Aluminum slots/Ansen sprints to go on the front of my car, I'll be putting 4 stock 15's on the market.
jorswift
Still looking for some steel stockers. Anyone ever use other steel rims. I looked and it looks like a steel rim from a 2011 Honda Civic would fit. Any ideas?

jorswift
Indiana. I wonder how much shipping would be.
David Maxwell
Just a note: The stock rims for a P15 came in either 15 inch 1946, 1947 late year, 48 and 49 or 16 inch early 47 models.
P15Mike
Oops ... Yup ... forgot to mention they're 15's . Not sure if shipping would be the way to go . Maybe call around to some of the older local boneyards to see what might be out there .
Robert Horne
I have a set of 5 Road Runner wheels for my 38. 7 inch wide, by 15 inch.. They were not in great shape, but after alot of prep, they do look pretty good...
mrwrstory
Ford rims and 60's - 70's Mopars are all pretty much the same ,....as long as they're 5 bolt. Seems Craigs List would be a good local source.
Niel Hoback
I tried a rotor from a 2001 Mitsubishi Galant on my p-15 and it seemed to fit perfectly. I am certain it was metric, but hey, if it fits,,,,,,,,,,,,

Those aren't Roadrunner wheels. 78 had some similar wheels as part of an "Super Coupe" option package, but they don't have the "nubs" for hub caps. The wheels you have are from a late 70's cop car. greg g
back space not to exceed 3 3/4 or 4 in at the most. I tried early cherokee rims and they are too deep and interfere with the rear springs.

A friend of mine has owned a 68 Road Runner for many years. His stock wheels are very plain with the small hub caps.
