Bizarre!! Cool!

Tom

I dunno. I'd like it better in that condition if it had the original chassis and running gear.

Makes no sense to me at all to do all that chassis and fabrication work, and then not get rid of the rust and paint the damn thing.

Rust and dents have now reached the status of reverse snobbery.

And the whole Japanese art form thing is pure BullBarack. It's a freaking rat rod.

..translation..wabi-sabi = upper class rat rod ;)

The interior in that wagon looks nice and original.

Didn't have the sound on, so don't know what the man said about

it. Those wheels are certainly different.

That's a popular thing nowadays in the hotrod crowd......get them

running good, but leave the rusty body as it was found due to sitting

in some field or whatever for years.

Love the fold down seat with wood&chrome strips, wasn't that a desoto thing also?

That was used on Mopar's big steel wagons - Dodge Sierra, DeSoto Estate Wagon and Chrysler Town & Country.

The car has a Chrysler instrument panel but the front clip is from a 1st series 1952 DeSoto - Hernando hood ornament, no hood scoop, narrow hood emblem and block letters for the name.

Nice pictures Pat, I do find it funny that they went to all the trouble to find patinaed valve covers when it sports a serpentine belt and aluminum fuel injection:DIs there a build site with more pictures....It would be nice to have more information on the R&P setup.

The video states its a Chrysler but they didn't like the grill so they found a desoto the same original color and swapped the front clips.

I have more pics and there is an article upcoming in Hot Rod Magazine.

I could post the rest of the pics if there's any interest.
