bobostski Posted October 4, 2010 Report Posted October 4, 2010 Does anyone have the spare tire filler tube acc. for their car? My car has the hole drilled for one but it wasn't with the car when I bought it. I've seen the picture in the accesory book but would like to see a picture of one on a car. Quote
Young Ed Posted October 4, 2010 Report Posted October 4, 2010 I should have a picture of the one I had. I sold it on ebay about a year ago. Its basically a fitting that bolts to the trunk and then a hose with a fitting for the tire. Nothing too fancy. Quote
aero3113 Posted October 4, 2010 Report Posted October 4, 2010 I had one about 8 months ago but sold it on ebay, you will be shocked at how much they sell for. Check out my post on it. http://www430.pair.com/p15d24/mopar_forum/showthread.php?t=20684&highlight=spare+tire+accessory Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted October 4, 2010 Report Posted October 4, 2010 And here it is in the Parts Manual accessories section......... Quote
bobostski Posted October 5, 2010 Author Report Posted October 5, 2010 Thanks. That helps a lot. My car was stripped down when I got it. I saw the hole and and didn’t fill it because I thought something would show up in the boxes to fill it but didn't happen. Saw mention of it in accessories book on the web site. I need to fill the hole. I have the back-up light and people think I am missing one when they see the hole. I'll see if I can make one up. Quote
Niel Hoback Posted October 5, 2010 Report Posted October 5, 2010 Until you find what you need, just use a bolt in valve stem to fill the hole. Quote
TodFitch Posted October 5, 2010 Report Posted October 5, 2010 Until you find what you need, just use a bolt in valve stem to fill the hole. Seems like it would not be too hard to make up that hose. Probably would not exactly match the original but would be close and be functional. Quote
oldmopar Posted October 6, 2010 Report Posted October 6, 2010 Looking at the photo from the manual I think a hose from a old bicycle hand pump and a long valve stem would work. Maybe I could sell the on ebay as NOS (Not Old Stock) Quote
Skrambler Posted October 8, 2010 Report Posted October 8, 2010 I have two of those units, both in their original boxes. Plus, those boxes are in the original MoPar counter display box right from the dealership! As of now, I do not wish to part with this historical display, but would be glad to answer any tech questions that I can. Quote
