What criteria of "right" are you applying???

A) Fit and work

B) Fit work and are period correct

C) NOS may look right but don't work

D) Repop of original but don't work

I have had several of the above. The original wires which leaked to ground or to their neighbor, a Repoped set from Mitchell Motors that looked good but didn't work good, and the current ones that don't look period but work real well.

Since I like to drive my car I will go with the ones that work. Uiversal solid core wires from Tractor Supply. However these would not be right if I had a radio.

Wouldn't a set from O'Reilly's made for a '59 Plymouth 6 cylinder work? I like to drive mine too. The bright orange ones that I currently have are over 20 years old.

I'd check them before I bought them. I know a guy who bought a set and they were a hair short. I got a set of accel universal wires and cut to fit. A little more work and not "correct" but they work well so they're correct for me.

dezel....what does 'cloth' mean.? i want the wires that have rubber cap ends over the plugs not the exposed connector kind. i want the copper wire core.

what do you have? how old are they...? let me know.

the wires with open connector ends might be a little short for my app. and i would like rubber covers over the plug ends.

i have a wire loom/holder that has indentations for each # wire. i was thinking of getting bulk wire so as not to be caught short on length...and putting the ends on .

ah yes, the clamshell..

I used the wires from Tractor Supply..they are decent enough for the price, gives you the 90 degree short boot insulator..only things is I find that the rubber is getting hard already on mine..only been about 3 years and like 70 miles...yeah yeah..I need to drive the puppy...just not that much into it..but it has been further than the Tiger has been in the same time frame..

#1 and #6 wires are the longest and about 25" long. The core is braided wire. They are from Atlas Obsolete. I paid ~$80 with the shipping so you would save $20.

Here are mine. NAPA Premium solid core dark blue wires. The orange boots are on the DD, but I didn't like the color for a hoodless car, so they were left off the A.

what is the number of the NAPA set? Was it the cut to fit kind or do they have a finished set? I got a cut to fit set in 8mm. Didn't fit well in the wire holder.
