My "adopted" dad has finally come to the realization that his 52 dodge truck is just too far gone to restore and that he is too aged to tackle it anyways. It has the rare factory rear bumper and a fluid drive transmission. His wife just died and he can use the $$$ to pay off the medical bills. Anybody interested in parts? I will get pix in the next few days of the truck if any interest is shown. Located in Stanwood, Washington. Bud

I could really use that, mine's dented. If your's is not, I'd appreciate it very much. Pictures of everything will really be appreciated.

Please PM me,

Hank :)

P.S. Merle I haven't forgoten my promise to document the rear bumper for you and Jim Gaspard (just a matter of time). Shipping via UPS wouldn't be that bad. Does Greyhound really ship things?

Yes greyhound does ship things. I've gotten fenders from CA and box sides through them. Only tricky part is they have to be picked up and dropped off at the nearest bus station.

you'd do that for your mother in law right?, so why not for a rare bumper?

Between Dad and I we have a small collection of trucks :) I've got one on my 46. He's got one on his 46 that needs to be cut off(his 46 is a work truck at the cabin) and then he and I got a third one at a junkyard that will become the front bumper for his 40 plymouth pickup. The rear one from his 46 will end up on the rear of the 40. See we're still short two because my 40 plymouth doesnt have any bumpers.

Hank,

Could you send those pickers up here but first ask the taller one not to laugh.

His laugh annoys me.

I know what you mean. They're both kind of obnoxious though. Great show! As a fictious example: They pull up to Kendall's Farm and ask ol' Kendall if they can check out his barn.

Kendall has lived in Montana on the same land that's been in the family since 1800 and something and they still own everything they ever bought. Kendall lives in the middle of nowhere, is 90, is on social security, rents out his 1000's of acres of farmland for I don't know how much, does manage to grow his own food and has enough steaks in the freezer to survive forever. He doesn't really need any money because he doesn't smoke, is not about to go out and buy a Wii, he does use some gas but at 90 hardly goes anywhere.

They say "You can't take it with you, but heck who needs those dorks snooping around in the barn anyway?

It could happen to you, :D

Better pack a 9mm or bear spray to avoid getting mugged while picking up a bumper! Even in the nicest of towns, the Greyhound Depot is always in the ghetto.

Do you have the speedometer along with the chrome trim/glass cover?

I'm going to do a gauge swap in my truck and need a donor pod to modify.

I don't care if the speedo itself works or looks rotted. Just want to have a donor piece to modify while I still keep my truck on the road.

Thanks for being so patient, been a busy time, but I stopped over and got some pix of the truck. it is rustier than it looks, but has so many good parts. I even found a sunvisor stashed in the truck. lots of pix, so pm me after looking with anything that catches your eye. He will not "give away" the parts as the money will help pay for his wifes hospital and funeral expenses, so be fair in your offers. Bud
