RobertKB Posted May 19, 2010 Report Posted May 19, 2010 Nice car and great that you got it running that easily. It has lots of nice accessories as well, I see, like the sun visor, spot lights, and skirts. Great find! Quote

The 15 inch hubcaps came with it. Radio works. Clock does not. Quote
John Reddie Posted May 19, 2010 Report Posted May 19, 2010 Nice car. Great potential there. John R Quote

Ramon Angulo Posted May 28, 2010 Report Posted May 28, 2010 Congrats that's an awsome find! Ive never see the stainless on the bottom of the front fender before. Was that an option on these, because i really like the way it looks! Quote
Robert Horne Posted May 29, 2010 Author Report Posted May 29, 2010 All the stainless is in great shape. One little dimple in 1 piece, I can work out. I put in a new battery, and a rebuilt carb. Started up and runs very good. Having difficult time getting the rear brake drums off. Auto store does not have a heavy duty hub puller. The trans working good. I have it jacked up with no rear tires, to check out the trans. Quote

Don Coatney Posted May 29, 2010 Report Posted May 29, 2010 This car looks like a very solid survivor. Good find! What are your plans for it? Quote
Robert Horne Posted May 29, 2010 Author Report Posted May 29, 2010 Hi Don, Plans are for now to get it road worthy so as to go to cruise-ins. I would like to paint the bottom half the original maroon or close to it. I would like to paint the top half, white I guess. I have seen photos of cars on this site with 2 tone paint that really look great. Interior is original, so I will have to find someone that can re-do the seats. The headliner is sagging, but material is good, I can re-do that. The floor needs replaced by the driver section, but the rest of the floor is great. Very little body work to do. I have a set of Ford Ranger 15 inch wheels, so I can use the original hubcaps. The Dodge was smoking until I disconected the oiler device. I put on a 53 truck carb that works great, but the choke linkage is different, so okay for now. Quote
