I've seen a couple on the internet-

here's one--http://stores.ez2wire.com/-strse-37761/AMC-Jeep-Chevy-Chevrolet/Detail.bok

I don't want to pay for a ynz or RI harness. In fact, I don't want cloth covered wire. I was hoping that someone like Painless, etc. made a universal harness that might work and that someone had experience with it.

Barabbas, that's what I'm talking about. Thanks.

I have seen some basic hotrod harnesses with 8 or 10 circuits (probably more than enough for our cars/trucks) but they were all gauged for 12V. You might want to look at some of the early ford parts suppliers to see what they have for 40's erea stuff.

oops, you did not state the "cost factor" originally..would nver have sugged RI based on that...they are expensive but figured you wanted original. As for the 6 volt modern style/coating wiring harness..none comes to mind..

Look up and talk with Rebel Wire. They are extremely reasonable price wise. Their products are very, very good. Labeled great!

I checked on a 6V kit from them a few years back. I forget what they quoted me but it was under $200 for the kit.

I hope this helps.
