there are a few optional wheels available through Summit Racing..these are slightly sylish wheels representing the "era" and will mount correctly with the standard wheel bolts. If you are considering aluminum wheels, bw aware (sure you are) that the thicker center crossweb will require longer bolts to secure properly to the hub..these may not be available for the left hand thread, at least in my search I did not find any...

it's an easy job to change the outer hubs on the left side so that they take right hand bolts ...you can strip these off a salvage yard car......

there is usually some one sometime that has to change your tire and doesnt know about the thread change...

i switched.

i have a friend who put some of those fancy 20" rims on his 41 big butt Plymouth and its really looks good. I was quit surprised to see what just a set of nice rims would make that car stand out. Jon

Don't forget to consider rim width and backspacing as you search for alternatives. To much back space will foul the rim tire against the spring, to wide a rim will interfear with the inner and/or outer fender. And also play hel with trying to change a flat tire on the side of the road.

I don't like to mention them either but the bolt pattern for late 30's thru to at least mid 50's Dodge & Plymouth is FORD.......someone mentioned Wheel Vintique rims......here are 15x6 and 15x7 Chrome smoothies with Coker Classic Radials in 195/75x15 and 235/75x15 size on my 1941 Coupe......these are bolted onto the stock drums with the locating pin removed using the original wheel bolts.............andyd....

I used their Hotrod Rallye steel wheel in the same sizes with BFG Radial TA 205/60x15 and 235/60x15 tires on them.
