D25_Owner Posted December 20, 2009 Report Posted December 20, 2009 Fun pictures. I worked for the City of Las Vegas for a few years and had full access to the photo archives. Vegas became a city in 1911 and that's about when the photo library started. More neat stuff than there was time to look at. Quote

I can remember going to Vegas when I was young to watch the Atomic Bomb testing from Fremont Street. Dennis:eek: Quote
LAKOTA169 Posted December 20, 2009 Report Posted December 20, 2009 The ship hotel brings back memories. I remember going there as a kid with my parents and grandfather. Stopped there on the way to Gettysburg. Quote
greg g Posted December 20, 2009 Report Posted December 20, 2009 Where else but in PA could you find a ship half way up a mountain (leaving out obvious biblical references) on rt 30 in the Alleghanies. http://roadsidephotos.sabr.org/LH/grandview2.htm Quote

A very interesting site and great history of a landmark. Too bad greed led to its demise. Quote
