michael.warshaw Posted December 6, 2009 Author Report Posted December 6, 2009 friend of mine needs a horn button anyone have one in good shape? Quote
RobertKB Posted December 6, 2009 Report Posted December 6, 2009 (edited) Michael, I don't have a clock or horn button. I am wondering if you bid on that cigarette lighter that was on ebay. It was expensive but I have seen them go for a lot more. Just curious. Edited December 6, 2009 by RobertKB Quote
T120 Posted December 6, 2009 Report Posted December 6, 2009 ..That's right. There's certainly more than one available, and probably affordable.I found one within my paltry budget at a swap meet. Quote
Don Jordan Posted December 6, 2009 Report Posted December 6, 2009 Be careful with clocks - one that actually runs should go for $300 to $500. I bought some on the bay that didn't work but I've heard of some guy that fixes them by putting different works in them. I got mine to just fill up the hole. Also you need to be careful. I bought a clock the guy said was for a 47 Plymouth. It turned out (after I bought it) it was out of a DeSoto. if you're not sure don't do it. They are expensive. If you keep looking you'll find it. Plymouthy Adams Posted December 6, 2009 Report Posted December 6, 2009 bid early, bid often, run the price up...e-bay and the seller love you for it.....however like most things, sometimes it is the necessary evil for if you don;t have wrecking yard with that period vehicle or local swap meets etc..you just flat out of luck.. I have an extra clock from a 47 Chrysler, it also runs, maybe time for me to sell some parts off to finance my ongoing project. The clock I have runs great and keeps time, still need to have a capacitor installed, by a friend, but it is running nicely. I took it apart and cleaned and oiled her on the advice and guidance of Tim Adams, at least I think it was Tim, it was a while back. I have a radio in my car a Mopar 802, with a new dial face, don't think I will spend the big bucks to get her working though. I know this isn't a 46 to 48 Chrysler forum, but would gladly trade the clock for a nice set of window cranks for my 47 Chrysler Coupe........Fred Quote
james curl Posted December 6, 2009 Report Posted December 6, 2009 Just Google "Auto swap meets New York area" and see what you get. I do this for Texas and usually get a three state list with dates and location. Quote
RobertKB Posted December 6, 2009 Report Posted December 6, 2009 Fred, unfortuately your clock will not fit a P15. If you really want to sell it, put it on ebay. Quote
Dodgeb4ya Posted December 6, 2009 Report Posted December 6, 2009 Then you did not want it badly enough:D I bid on Epay to satisfy myself- not the seller. Maybe thats the same for Michael. Prices on P15 clocks and lighters go for crazy $$$ ! Quote
1940plymouth Posted December 7, 2009 Report Posted December 7, 2009 The first car show-flea market not far from you is in Rhinebeck,NY the first weekend in May. It is located at the Dutchess County fairgrounds. Another good show and flea market is in Norwich,NY at the Chenagno County Fairgrounds usually towards the end of May. Both shows aren't but maybe two to three hours from your area Quote
