Plymouthy Adams Posted October 12, 2009 Report Posted October 12, 2009 Michael..this would be way cooler than the lighter...I mean everyone has a cigarette lighter..but an automatic vacuum model..and an original box from Mopar.. Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted October 12, 2009 Report Posted October 12, 2009 I think Jon (jip job) has an even fancier thing in his old Dodge..... Quote
Norm's Coupe Posted October 12, 2009 Report Posted October 12, 2009 Well.........I'm a smoker and even I don't need a cigarette lighter in the car. Have one in all my cars.........but never use them. Problem with a lighter in the car is, the tobacco sticks to the lighter when you light it sometimes. Then hot ashes fall off. That's how people get burn holes in their seats and carpets. So.....I just use a regular cigarette lighter. Sort of like the clock. Don't need those in cars either. Just look at the wrist watch if I want to know the time. Quote
desoto1939 Posted October 12, 2009 Report Posted October 12, 2009 The seller is Frank Mitchell in Georgia. Quote
greg g Posted October 12, 2009 Report Posted October 12, 2009 As usual, he has a pretty inflated idea of the value of that piece. Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted October 12, 2009 Report Posted October 12, 2009 and a lot of time he gets that inflated price and more...just curious where this one will go...I bet that man has tons of stuff still waiting for him to "discover" it amoung the stash of parts...I am sure any one of us would jump at a chance to wade through his wharehouse...I'd even take leave from work... michael.warshaw Posted October 12, 2009 Report Posted October 12, 2009 i buy alot of things from frank, high prices but he isd one stop shopping. he has everything. very nice guy aswell, i was speaking to him face to face at hershey. Quote
David Maxwell Posted October 12, 2009 Report Posted October 12, 2009 Anyone who has seen the pictures of his warehouse knows it would take weeks to check it out thouroughly. It would be like an archeologist getting a chance to crawl through the Pyramids for me. I'd love it!!! As some of you might recall... Frank was selling his business with all the inventory in the warehouse a couple of years ago. I think he was asking over 1 million. Needless to say... he still owns it. Still, on occasion, I have purchased directly from Frank. He is a nice enough guy, has the parts you need in a pinch and, at least on my purchases, I thought his prices were reasonable. BTW... I have one of those vacuum lighters in the box as well so I'm very curious to see what he gets for it. and a lot of time he gets that inflated price and more...just curious where this one will go...I bet that man has tons of stuff still waiting for him to "discover" it amoung the stash of parts...I am sure any one of us would jump at a chance to wade through his wharehouse...I'd even take leave from work...
