blueskies Posted September 16, 2009 Report Posted September 16, 2009 ... on my '50 ebay auction... There were 40 ebayers watching the auction and 750 page views, I'm assuming it was everyone from this forum . Re-listed with a lower reserve and lower opening bid . Pete Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted September 16, 2009 Report Posted September 16, 2009 minus one..sorry Pete..I did however see it on the sister website Quote
james curl Posted September 17, 2009 Report Posted September 17, 2009 Pete, I haven't seen your e bay ad. I do not want to see your car for sale. I cannot afford it so why look at the ad. If you just have to have the money then I hope it sales, but would like to see a higher price for your sake. Quote
eric wissing Posted September 17, 2009 Report Posted September 17, 2009 (edited) Pete, I looked and drooled and coveted. You seem to have some interest with the high number of lookers and the questions. Hang in there and good luck. Eric Edited September 17, 2009 by eric wissing bad spelling Quote
RobertKB Posted September 17, 2009 Report Posted September 17, 2009 Pete, I wish you luck but at the same time wish you could keep your car because your business picks up! It is such a shame you have to sell it but I admire you for making the hard choice. Good luck! Quote
realgonekatt Posted September 17, 2009 Report Posted September 17, 2009 My motorbike listed twice before it sold on E-pay. Just takes the right person I guess. Good Luck. Quote
Joe Flanagan Posted September 17, 2009 Report Posted September 17, 2009 Can't imagine that car with an owner who isn't Pete Blueskies. Just not right. Quote
Reg Evans Posted September 18, 2009 Report Posted September 18, 2009 Can't imagine that car with an owner who isn't Pete Blueskies. Just not right. I hear that. If I was a rich man I'd buy it and leave it there in Idaho. Quote
DigmyP18 Posted September 18, 2009 Report Posted September 18, 2009 I'm sure I"m amongst the many who have drooled over your car Pete and I have an idea I'd like to put out there. The pic you have with the clouds in the background is completely awesome and since the whole classic car world seems to be short the 10 grand or so it will take to purchase it outright, maybe we can do the next best thing. Make a Limited edition Lithogragh of that pic. I'll bet that there are tons of auto enthusiasts (not just Mopar people) who would flip a Twenty or so for a high quality Poster of this bad boy. Hell, I'll bet there are wives who would buy it for their husbands just to shut them up about "this car is so sweet honey you got to look at this". and her response "Shut up honey you can't have it, now take out the trash". yay Keep it limited to maybe 500 Authentic Autograghed copies then sell it as just a plain Poster as well. Maybe even put a slick quote in gold at the bottom like the line from Shawshank "get busy livin or get busy dyin". Shucks I'm motivated already. All I ask is that I get the first one since my name is Pete too. How about it? Quote
blueskies Posted September 18, 2009 Author Report Posted September 18, 2009 Can't imagine that car with an owner who isn't Pete Blueskies. Just not right. I think that may be part of the problem... no one else can either so there are no buyers... I hear that. If I was a rich man I'd buy it and leave it there in Idaho. Thanks Reg, when you hit the lotto, let me know! ...Make a Limited edition Lithogragh of that pic. ... I've been thinking of ways to parlay the traffic my website gets into dollars, and this is one idea. But it has seemed too personal to me, not generic enough for a broader market. Maybe I'm wrong... Here's something I've been working on along those lines- A new website I put up today. I want to eventually do things like stickers, tshirts, etc to support the forum. Time will tell. And I seem to have plenty of it right now to put stuff like this together... Pete Quote
Don Coatney Posted September 18, 2009 Report Posted September 18, 2009 Pete; Sell your Boston car and keep your #2 car. Then you win twice. Cash for a car with no cash investiment! And you can keep the number 2 loosing race car bragging rights. This is a win lose deal. Beats a lose lose deal:cool: Quote
greg g Posted September 18, 2009 Report Posted September 18, 2009 (edited) Pete, looks nice. Hope the traffic builds. Are you including the pickup version, and the panel wagons and the Foward Controls models or just the wagons??? found this if you want to include it in your links http://www.angelfire.com/nb2/jeeppickups/new%20willys%20page.html Edited September 18, 2009 by greg g Quote

Beats a lose lose deal:cool: Don- The Boston Honda is the only car we can afford to drive right now... it gets 46mpg when I drive the snot out of it, 55 when I hypermile it... I don't think the Plymouth is going to find a buyer any time soon, I think we are all in the same boat... Pete, looks nice. Hope the traffic builds. I'm going to put it on the Willys Webring in a couple of days, and I've e-mailed a link to several folks on the net. It it picks up enough steam, I plan to put together some advertisers, marketplace for classifieds, stickers, etc. I think I will just keep it to the wagons for now, but if there is enough interest, maybe do a sister site like Gerald did for the pilot house trucks. If so, join the new forum! I don't have one yet, but have been coveting them for years... I decided since I can't buy one in the near future, I might as well surround myself with folks that do have one, via the new discussion forum. Some day I'll have one too... might be a while though- Pete Quote
DigmyP18 Posted September 22, 2009 Report Posted September 22, 2009 My idea with that pic was to kill two birds with one stone. If it took on a life of it's own then you could fix the immediate financial issues AND you'd be able to keep the car. Looks like a win win to me. I'd still take a copy of that pic though if you wanted to make one. Take care. Quote
