Niel Hoback Posted September 9, 2009 Report Posted September 9, 2009 Met with a fellow at the show who has this '42 DeSoto for sale. He said it came from the factory with valve seats cast in the block and no inserts. Hmmm. It's a nice looking interior too. Quote

Don Coatney Posted September 9, 2009 Report Posted September 9, 2009 He said it came from the factory with valve seats cast in the block and no inserts. Just goes to show how much some folks dont know about there cars. Quote
randroid Posted September 9, 2009 Report Posted September 9, 2009 Folks, For some reason I thought the P-15 was exclusive to the vertical radio buttons. (Lord, wrong twice in one day!) When were those radios used in which cars? -Randy Quote
Young Ed Posted September 9, 2009 Report Posted September 9, 2009 I know plymouth used them in 41-48 however the 41(and possibly 40) model is different. The dash has a divider bar where the radio goes and the radio has an indent to work with this. So you can use a early radio in a late car but not the other way around without disfiguring the dash. I suspect the other mopar lineup used these radios about that same range of time. The nice blue desoto also has factory turn signals Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted September 9, 2009 Report Posted September 9, 2009 It seems the Dodge, Desoto and Chrysler's were a bit more "improved" as turn signal is not uncommon on these in 41...Both my 41 Dodges were fctory equipped with turn signals.. Quote
james curl Posted September 10, 2009 Report Posted September 10, 2009 And electric windshild wipers. Quote
