You won't hear much from me for the next week.....

That's because I'm going to Nashville (again) tomorrow (Fri 4/24) for a

week. My mother in law is ill due to a heart problem which can not

be fixed due to her age and physical condition. Mary Ann has been

there with her for a while, and will continue to stay with her for an

undetermined time.

So, since I still work, I stick around here and will go there from time to time.

Aside from doing things around the house, my one main amusement

while there will be to attend the Tuesday night jam session at a

club, sponsored by the Music City Blues Society.

I got to go in February for the first time. A nice bunch of guys and

good musicians. This pic is from Feb......I usually play harmonica on

jam sessions. Or a little on the washboard. So, enjoy your peace

and quiet.:D

Best to you and your's Bob. I went through a similar situation a couple years ago with my Dad. Not easy, thankfully his time of suffering was short.

My Uncle is that way now too. He has an implanted defibralator that keeps going off. Everytime it does it damages his heart. So that had to be turned off. He has gone from the nursing home back to my cousin (his daughters) house to live out his last days.

Bob;

Sorry to hear about your mother in law. There will be a Friday night cruse in a week after you arrive at the same place you and I went the last time. I will not be there as I am on the road as shown above in my current location.

Bob,

Good luck to you and yours. I hope your Mother-in-law will be ok.

My cousin is 67, just had a bad heart attack on Sunday.

Don, while you are in Boston, have you ever seen the Grasshopper weathervane on Faneuil Hall?

One of my ancestors, Shem Drown built it in 1742

Bob, one more thing, since you are a musician, have you ever heard of the Gibson Brothers?

They are my cousin that had the heart attack sons. They play bluegrass and have been in Nashville numerous times.

Again, have a safe trip and I hope all works out ok,

Bob

Bob, sorry to say, I've not heard of the Gibson Bros.

I would say they must be pretty good.

Thanks to all for the kind words.

Bob ,

sorry to hear and all the best.

Just today heard about a collegue, who moved away from the island, that he has been diagnosed with Non Hodgkin desease.

The guy is mid thirties !

Being treated now but that is a shocker.

Just shows you that life is short and you also should try to enjoy it !

Don, I don't know if Chance has seen that surfboard or not.

My guess is, he probably has.

He was going to come to be Feb jam, but didn't make it.

Or, if he did, he gave up and returned home,

since I was late getting there.
