learned a new forum trick (OT)

Another trick you may not know about is to click on the number in the replies column. It will then display the names of all who have responded to a thread.

Also if you click on the little arrow behind the name in the last post column it will take you directly to the last post without having to scrool all the way to the bottom.

I don't have to scroll all the way to the bottom to see the last post made in a thread. I set it up in my profile settings when GTK first set up the new forum so the last post is on top, and the first post is on the bottom.

You should really enjoy the POC forum as that is the way it is set up and there are no options to change it.

Don,

I haven't been over on the POC forum for several years. I've checked out other car forums, woodworking, music forums and model railroad forums in the past too. However, I don't go on any of those either. This is the only forum I visit. Not only that, but the forum is about all I do on the web that isn't business related.:)

Shel,

I also have my settings set so I only see the last 12 hours of post on the forum. That way there is never over one to three pages. Most of the time only one. By doing it that way, I do catch most new threads when there are none to 3 replies in a thread. Also by having it set up to show the last post on top, I can get an idea of what the original post was. If I want to read it, I then will scroll down to the original post and read the rest of the replies in reverse order. Otherwise, I just go back to the index.

To set it up so it's reversed like I have it, you just need to check a little box in your settings of your profile.

If you really must know. I also will read the newspaper and magazines in reverse order most of the time too.;)

I use the "new posts" link at the top of the page. This will show all new postings that I have not read. It does not matter what puter I use as soon as I log on and click the new posts link it only shows the postings I have not read. This allow me to read all postings on all of the forums attached to this web page. P-15/D-24, Pilot House, Cars for sale, announcements, etc. If I open a posting and have no interest I simply hit the new postings button and it disappears until someone responds to it. Then it will show as a new posting again.

Not much traffic to keep track of on the POC site. It seems to average about 4 new threads a week between both areas. One of the things I notice over there is that hardly anone ever acknowledges whether any of the suggestion or answers has addressed their problem.

I use the "Quick Links" in the tool bar. That also shows both the P15/D24 and Pilot House threads. But again, it does show all for the last 12 hours. Any post that was here prior to my current visit will be separated and say "The threads below have not been updated since your last visit or since forums have been marked read." Then the new ones will be above that. Don't think I've ever used the "New Post" only.

That is one of the things that really Pi$$ me off. I have been hammered on that site more than once (as I break all the rules and post non stock modifications) and my rebuttles are ignored. But the posters who hammer me and then ignore me have highly modified cars.

I am a proud POCOC member............

Would I have more fun at the POC National events if I actually joined the POC?

Any POC members know if the pictures I took at the National POC meetings were posted in the Plymouth Bulletin?

And now you know why I stopped visiting that forum a long time ago. Dennis Hemmingway and I were actually told not to visit and discuss non stock modifications at one time. All we were discussing is the pros and cons of disc brakes and radial tires.

Don I don't know which pictures you took but there is an interesting shot of your grill in the background of a closeup of Bobs 54 hood ornament
