Norm's Coupe Posted December 27, 2008 Report Posted December 27, 2008 Here again, my drum beats to a different beat. If a chick picks me just for the car I have, it means she's a shallow person and I wouldn't want her to pick me. When I rode a motorcycle back in the late 70's and early 80's I would get all kinds of chicks around me when filling it up at the station, especially with the second bike I had. But........I would just be nice and talk and leave it at that after I finished filling the tank. 1 Quote

Norm's Coupe Posted December 27, 2008 Report Posted December 27, 2008 So Norm your motorcycle must have been a 4.) Mack Daddy Pimp Cadillac If you say so Don. Did not follow the link you posted. This is the last motorcycle I had. It's the one that seemed to draw all the chicks. It was a sharp looking bike. Think the color is what made it. Was midnight blue. That's my daughter sitting on the back. Quote

RobertKB Posted December 28, 2008 Report Posted December 28, 2008 I figure if you buy it up here in cold, snowy Canada and drive it down to Tennessee, you will pick up free love hippie girls galore to keep you warm. Your wife might frown upon the adventure, however! Quote

Tim, I can remember ripping out walls, etc. for remodeling projects years ago when I was younger. Those jobs always were a big mess and always took longer than expected to complete, but........I did save a lot of money doing the projects myself. I got wiser in my older age though. We needed to do some updating in one of the bathrooms for several years. Knowing how much was involved with replacing tubs, etc. from my younger years, I knew it would take even longer today if I did it. So..........I finally broke down and called a contractor to do the job in fall of 2007. (First contractor to step foot in the house for a job since I bought it in 1973, outside of the electrical contractor who updated the electrical service and put it underground for me in 75). What would have taken me an estimated two weeks to do was done in 48 hours after the contractor arrived. And, there was no mess in the rest of the house during or after the job was done. No mess in the bathroom after he was done either. Was ready to use right away. So........for me, any major work that needs to be done from then on gets farmed out and I just pay the bill. It also gives me more time to do something else that's more fun. Quote
