DSC02814.jpgToday when I was out and about I had a chance to check out an old 42 Dodge that I saw nearly 20 years ago. As you can see its still together but probably will never be once that was. Anyway anybody wanting to purchase this beautiful old rusted out 42 can contact me and I might be able to get ahold of the owner or who-ever is in charge of cleaning up this property.

Nice find ... and good memory.

I've had a 1949 P18 Club Coupe a lot like this one in my sights since 1971. I've stopped and asked about it 2 or 3 times over the years .... always get the same response "We're plannin' on fixin' her up one of these days!" .... and I sulk away one more time!

She looks a little rough...but I have no doubt that there are some folks who frequent this forum that could restore this old girl to her original glory and splendor:)

In the beautiful state of Washington!

Just a little poem about my find:In the forest green grows a mean machine. The machine is green with floliage green. It was once a family car but now it gone to far and may it rest in peace among the forest green.

They say beauty in in the eye of the beholder but in this case you got to love old cars for what they are worth!

I can't go from NC to Washington state to get it,but I sure do need that grille for my 42! Actually, the front bumper looks better than mine, too.

What the chances of being able to get the grille, the bumpers, the horns under the hood, and maybe a few other parts?

I'm to old to fool around with this Dodge and so I must say no. The person who in charge of getting rid of all the junk on this property want $800 dollars for the car and does not want to part it out. Sorry

Interesting find. Too bad someone let a once decent car just rot away. I hear too many of those "I'm gonna fix it up one day" stories. They never get fixed and those who would fix them can't get them. I have chased a '52 Canadian Dodge business coupe for 10 years and it is now at the point I think I'll quit chasing.

Tell him I'll give him $250 for it if it is undented and has no pits. Maybe that will change his mind and get him to pull it.

I'm wondering if you Jim or especially knuckleharley saw the post I posted last week about the Dodge in Ontario. Brendan.

I just saw your thread a few minutes ago,and called the guy. He's thinking about selling the grille to me. Unfortunately,it is a Canadian grille instead of a US grille, but it will be better than no grille at all if it's not dented or rusty.

Thank you for posting it.

Robert, there is supposed to be a decent 1949 or 1950 Plymouth Biz Coupe about 80 miles west of Winnipeg, in Westbourne Manitoba. Supposedly it isn real complete and decent shape..........Fred ps I spoke to the owner about 2 years ago, he wanted about $2000 to $3000 for it then.
