I like the one at the back.....does it have wire mesh on the windows, like

maybe it was used to transport prisoners to the brig?? Sort of resembles

a small school bus.

Hi Johnny, I know where there is a 1943 Dodge 2 1/2 ton Army Truck here in Manitoba, it's owned by someone I know. It runs, has new rubber, but needs brakes and other things, it's for sale for $500.00, not in the cards right now, $500 can buy a lot of things for my 47 Chrashler right now.........Fred

Those look like M37s. Thats what replaced the power wagon. Surprised to see one that old though I thought the M37 came out in the 60s

24 volt everything. A couple of friends each have one and they both say they are worth every penny when off road.

Those little trucks are all over down here in Missouri. After retirement from

the military they were used by Civil Defense and rural fire districts. Here are

two (don't know what model year) in Quapaw, Okla. Even saw one in some

Caribbean country on one of our trips.

who else noticed the mil-spec sealed ignition? i wonder if they're set up with 24v electrics, instead of 6v pos ground? the ambulance with the wire mesh on the windows is cool, too. wish they were closer to me....

Yes they are 24 volt sealed ignition and yes they will go through a lot of water and will not stall unless you get the air intake below water. It's all over then. I've got a buddy with one of those ambulances, you wouldn't believe the places it will go.
