  1. Use the 10W. Check your tranny, mine has a tag attached to use 10W. Did you try the search feature at the top for Fluid Drive?
  2. You could try Classified Wanted. Be more specific with your model, doors, and pieces needed. Use pictures.
  3. Good project for LH conversion. Looks like they pulled in nicely. You didn't have the wheel alignment pin? Why the need to grind the rivet.
  4. You got the fun part right. Get out there and stomp the gas.
  5. Mr. Cheapo just measured, got some decent material, and made one, $5.
  6. That looks like work so early. Need a Reuben Sandwich first. If the season says eggs, where do the rabbits fit in?
  7. My '49 was grumpy too, but got them to lift up and out. Yes it's a tight fit under than vent latch.
  8. Sunshine, blue sky enhance the cool ride. Big smiles now.
  9. I'd venture to say the material is the same as the door/kick panels. Check a local upholstery shop.
  10. If it works, use them. Probably available, but don't know a name/number to order more. Those were on my door/kick panels.
  11. I'd say a shipper could get you the one non-running truck for less than half that amount. Would they consider a refundable deposit to "hold" it for a week while you think? Does the price change without the other one? Sight unseen deal. I would lean toward stock which means finding & rebuilding running gear. Would take a lot of research for your other option. Any trucks local for the wife to get in/ride for the "feel" of it beforehand. Work and money involved. Your call.
  12. Is the shaft it goes on square?
  13. Good find. That's a great start for a fun cruiser. Questions welcome as you learn.
  14. No difference, just some fabrication to attach the new one after removing the old. Make sure the new socket matches the pin offset of your bulbs.
  15. Can't answer about countries. Anything close here? http://paintref.com/cgi-bin/colorcodedisplay.cgi?year=1956&con=y&model=Dodge Truck&rows=50
  16. I would be looking for a new wheel. Less work. Shipping can't be a good thing.
  17. Always hear a sigh of relief when something works.
  18. They are indeed projects. Be ready. But have fun. There are other disk brake kits available.Make that decision before you start, buy once. 10W30 is a popular oil. Keep posting your progress/questions.
  19. Did you need the 6V adapter?
  20. Enjoy the Mopar party. I can't work out in the cold either.
  21. Some simple cutting with less expensive materials and you'll be in business.
  22. I also ordered some decent rubber mat material. Cut to size & glued it down. Did not replace any metal like original.
  23. My 49 Chrysler words are on the trunk chrome, and I redid that in original black. Take your time.
  24. Great. Is the driver a finished project?
