  1. Yes it has an orifice in that fitting. It's definitely not a standard fitting. However it maybe a standard oil pressure gauge fitting that maybe listing in NAPA's catalog with their gauges. If no luck, try www.vintagepowerwagon.com Earl
  2. There is a short. Find your short. The short is causing the automatic circuit breaker to trip. Putting a fuse in isn't safe or legal in my state and won't fix the issue. You will just keep blowing the fuse. If it doesn't do with with the parking lights on only, than short is in the headlight circuits. Earl
  3. I'm extremely happy with the one in my car. It fit like a glove. Looks great. Cools the car much better than the original and I run a 180 thermostat. I bought the 3 row core model. I bought mine from Amazon. It was well packaged and had no shipping damage. Good luck finding anything not made in China or made with China parts!!! I also believe they are lifetime warranty as well. I run a 7 lb cap and recovery tank and have no troubles. Earl
  4. Water absorbed or not absorbed, it's still water in the system. That's why they recommend flushings. Dot 3/4 not only absorb moisture, they draw it. That's why vehicles now have air tight masters with visible fluid levels so you don't open it to see the level, which adds more moisture. Old vehicles like on here, were vented to the atmosphere and prone to moisture related issues compared to modern vehicles. But yes, brake fluid needs to be flushed periodically. Same goes for the old school green antifreeze. I went with dot 5 cause it doesn't draw moisture. But I will still flush it every couple years. Earl
  5. Sounds sweet. Don't forget Chryslers at Carlisle, PA in July and Fall Hershey,PA in October as options. Earl
  6. Nicopp is ment for brake tubing. It won't rust/corrode like metal. It's easier to bend and flare than stainless. It can be bought anywhere. I used nicopp on my car for the brake lines and fuel lines. I also used stainless steel flare nuts. I used dot 5 brake fluid. So yes, it's safe and legal to use nicopp! Actually it's a smart thing to do. Copper is and will always be unsafe and illegal to use for brakes! Just like compression fittings. Earl
  7. 3 SPD manual with fluid coupling. Better known as fluid drive. Not Gyro-matic, Tip-toe nor Presto-matic. Earl
  8. Everyone is different. I myself don't care for point ignition but I don't condone those that don't like electronic conversion. Note, you must always check and set the timing when you replace points,or regap them or if install an electronic conversion. Earl
  9. You have the model right on the Vin tag in the photo above but the pic is cut off right where it says model. Earl
  10. Or blow gasoline out the weep holes and into the engine bay. I never was in favor of keeping the mechanical pump in the loop. I pull them and plate the hole. Earl
  11. The service manual will tell you how adjust the shift rods. The rubber bushing in the one shift rod can fail and cause slop or fall out. The wheel cylinder could of been a bad one or the travel was too great and the cup blew. Earl
  12. Don't blame the radials, it's not them. You will have to isolate the components until you find the source. Disconnect the steering linkage from the steering box, than from each wheel. Turn each wheel, if hard to turn, issue is in King pins. Make sure the tie rod ends aren't the issue by isolating each joint. Earl
  13. Anyone try running a fuel return back to the tank? Like use a Mopar fuel filter that has the return line connection on it. That would push the hot gas back to the tank. Would be best to install an electric pump with the fuel return. Install the return fuel filter right at the carb. Just pondering out load. Earl
  14. Stops might need adjusted, float arm bent, someone replaced the sending unit using one that doesn't fully match the OE ohms, bad ground to name a few things. Earl
  15. I installed an ECI dual circuit master cylinder kit on mine. Great kit, at least for my 52. They will need to know if you have fluid coupling or not and if your clutch pedal is on the master or on the frame. Earl
  16. Buy a new master cylinder, don't risk brakes! Especially if you're keeping single circuit. Earl
  17. No but I do attend the Chrysler show in July annually as well as fall Hershey. It's probably been 20 years since I've been to any of the other Carlisle Events. Earl
  18. You will love the ECI kit! Well made and large calipers and rotors. I added a GM combination valve on mine and also the ECI dual circuit master cylinder kit. I used mid 90's to early 2000 Lincoln Town Car aluminum wheels on mine as the disc conversion didn't accept the OE wheels. I had no plans to keep the OE wheels anyways. Wanted modern radial rims and tires. Call and talk to Stan I believe his name is. Extremely knowledgeable. He will tell you what size rim will clear the disk. If you haven't ordered the kit yet, they offer a discount if you buy the disc kit and dual master kit. Earl
  19. Fyi, I've seen governor gears on eBay. Earl
  20. It was made for my car so it was direct bolt in. Earl
  21. I put in a Champion 3 row in my 52 Dodge. Got it on Amazon as they had the best price I could find. Works great. My OE radiator was shot and couldn't be repaired and a new core was extremely expensive. I also added a coolant recovery tank. Earl
  22. I used nicopp for my fuel and brake lines. Won't corrode and easier to bend and flare than stainless. I also used stainless line nuts. I added an inline fuel filter on the frame as well. On my brakes I used Dot5 brake fluid. You can pull the stone guards off the original lines and install them on the new lines. Earl
  23. With the car looking stock and the wide whites, I'd keep the OE covers. But aftermarket wheels can look good too. I wanted modern radial wheels and tires and disc brakes so I had to retire the OE wheels and covers. I may put steel wheels on it and the OE covers in the future. But I do like the wheels I put on mine. I put Lincoln Town Car wheels on mine. Earl
  24. The vac and mech advance are adjustable but best done on a distributor machine or would take forever. Earl
