  1. My 47 points to the driver's side.
  2. Still haven't dialed the carbs in yet. Can't start it in the garage the fumes get thick quick.
  3. I used 2 1/4" but a kit full of bends and welded it up myself.
  4. I've only done breakin on mine in the garage about 2 hours worth. Can't get it to hit 165 yet.
  5. This is what mine looked like when I opened it up. Stock engine don't know if the tube had been replaced or not.
  6. they were used on some high end cars as exhaust ports. Buick used them for years as decoration i.e. false exhaust ports.
  7. Looks like a good job on the interior as well. Not real sure if the stuff above the windows is tile or what though.
  8. I think that if he raised the back of the roof line to be level with the front of the wood right behind the rear door it would look darn good.
  9. front and rear discs are just a bolt on. No real skill needed.
  10. craigslist
  11. I've been searching for one for my 47 for 2 years. I have found one but I'm not paying $400 for it.
  12. You're welcome.
  13. I've had a few ads on different forums for a rear bumper and center chrome hood strip. I was contacted by a guy in New York state a couple of weeks ago. Said he had them and would sell them for $300. Had been rechromed 5 years ago and stored inside since. I asked for photos. He kept sending me really bad ones over a 10 day period. Made me think that he was cropping a web photo and enlarging it. He told me that he was 71 years old and wasn't tech savvy. I asked for a photo with a can or bottle on the bumper. Last I heard from him. Alway at least ask for a photo with something that you come up with in it. That way it's not just pulled off of the web
  14. I did the same to my 47 Dodge handles. If I remember right there's a bell shaped keeper on the inside. I carefully twisted 90 degrees to get them to come off. See photo.
  15. I got the mats for my 47 coupe with metal backing and 1 row of studs from Dennis Bickford 575-443-1132. Not cheap but very good quality. I think I paid $450 for the set. https://opa.cig2.usa.canon.com/item/3kujgJxDr47sCNBM?isl__=1 https://opa.cig2.usa.canon.com/item/okvlYXVnUJEolgYR?isl__=1
  16. I have two left side and 1 right for a coupe. They are take offs from my coupe. I found better ones on ebay, took me 2 years. You can have them for shipping cost from Alaska.
  17. as BC said. they don't follow the body the same way. The sedan is flater and the coupe is more curved.
  18. Bergy I don't know but you posted your question 3 times. Want to delete 2?
  19. valves could be stuck. No compression in any cylinder?
  20. no cooler in the car
  21. It's a military film but the info is still good stuff.
  22. I got lucky, the guy that rebuilt mine asked if I wanted to help reassemble it. "Ya think". Lol
  23. FB I know nothing about a 50 Plymouth but on my 47 Dodge door sills the metal plate on the back of the rubber has studs welded to the plate. Mine aren't screws. The studs just pry out of the rubber grommets.
  24. I went out and measured the stem a little while ago, it's 1 3/4". Have to find some others. I really liked that rounded look though.
