  1. Just a few shots of the "sloooooow" progress.
  2. Sent you a PM (Private Message)
  3. Sometimes the new shoes (lining) are a little too thick and need to be "shaved". Others may call it "arced" to fit the drums
  4. There was a notification stating that an update was done but, for some reason, the classified section was causing the site to "crash" so it is unavailable until the issue is figured out
  5. I will send you a Private Message

  7. I was able to go to the car (this past Sunday per a request by the owner) to check out the issue. I am a little leery about posting what happened (nothing bad) because I don't want it to seem like I am "jumping" over/past the owner before he comes back here and posts the outcome.
  8. I (we) can't help it. It's a disease with no known cure. I got a shirt from my cousin the other day. It has printed on it: DO YOU REALLY NEED ALL OF THESE CARS? "YES I DO" So, against my "better" judgement, which doesn't exist, I will continue to browse the ads.
  9. Thanks for the positive comments Yes, it does run and drive. It is just extremely filthy from sitting in a very dusty environment. I will slowly bring it back to respectable condition. Once I refinish the wood it will look a lot better
  10. I went and did it again. I FINALLY started to realize that maybe I should "thin the herd" - and I was actually doing it. I sold a couple of old cars and my motorcycle and I was trying to convince myself that I felt good about it. I was actually starting to believe that - BUT THEN IT HAPPENED - AGAIN!!!!! I was innocently browsing Facebook Marketplace (mistake #1) and for some reason I opened an ad for an antique car which I had ZERO interest in - NONE But as I was scrolling through the pictures in the ad (mistake #2) I noticed a car in the background of 2 of the pictures. Of course, I HAD to message the person running the ad asking if he'd be interested in selling the car in the background (mistake #3) I got a reply in a few minutes saying "Yes, he'd sell it, and when would I like to come see it. I immediately replied that the next morning would be a good time to go look at the car (mistake #4) The next morning I go look at the car (mistake #5) and now as they say - "The rest is history" It's a 1949 Chrysler Woody - 1 of 850 made. Picture after a little cleaning
  11. There are 2 types of lockout assemblies on the carbs There's a 2 wire and a 1 wire Can anyone tell me what are the difference(s),if any, between the two and what carbs they can be used on Can a carb with a 2 wire assembly use a 1 wire assembly and vice versa? I have enclosed pictures of both assemblies
  12. What is the drum diameter? Sent you a PM
  13. Will a-arms from a 46-48 Chrysler (6 cylinder car) work/fit??? Sent you a PM
  14. Joe, Glad I was able to help
  15. So will a Chrysler trunk lid work?
  16. Questions: Would a trunk lid from a 46-48 Plymouth interchange with this one? What about one from a 46-48 Chrysler?

  18. Just an experience I had once and not saying this is the OP's issue: Tried to move a friends 50's Cadillac out of the garage and the car would start (cold) and idle all day. But when it got warmed up, every time we tried to move it (in gear) it would stall out. We primed the carb and it would start and idle fine. As soon as it was put into gear to be moved it would stall. After a couple of hours of doing this and that it turned out to be a bad coil.
