Big Red, You might try Green Mountain. I know they make the patch panel for the rockers behind the door so it should have roughly the same contour. I have no idea about the quality of their work but it might be a posibility. Green Mountain Parts Rt 22A Orwell, VT 05760 United States 802-948-2086 fax: 802-948-2088

The one where he dumped his wife out of the boat with the nasty water reminds me of a duck hunting trip we took to Milford res. near Fort Riley KS when I was in the 6th grade. It was colder than a well diggers you know what that day in fact there was ice along the shore of the lake. Anyway we put the johnboat in and go out to set the decoys. When we return to shore I am in the front of the boat. I jump out and grab the handle on the front of the boat to pull it up on the shore. I was probably all of 100 pounds and pulling for all I was worth when my dad's friend who had been setting in the middle seat stepped out of the boat. That made the boat about 200 pound lighter just as my dad who was setting on the rear seat stood up. I pulled the boat right out from under him. I hear a big splash, and every unmentionable word he had learned during 20 years in the army and look up to see him setting chin deep in the freezing water with his feet draped over the back of the boat. Needless to say that was a short day hunting. He still reminds me of that and it was about 35 years ago.

Had a 62 Impala 2 dr hardtop when I was 17, 327 with three 2bbls and a 4 speed. Took the radiator to the shop to have it boiled out and a couple of small leaks fixed. Put the repaired radiator back in and fired it up no leaks. Next morning go out to go to school, pull out of the driveway down to the stop sign at the corner. A friend was coming up to the sign from the other direction in his 68 Camaro. Of course being the testosterone laden show-off that I was back then I mashed the loud pedal to the floor and dumped the clutch to show him what a real car would do. That is when I heard an awful noise. rolled over to the curb popped the hood and there was a 1/2 inch open end wrench sticking through the radiator core. Guess it had been left on the engine or fan shroud or something.

I would tend to agree with you. I've only had the car since July and there is no telling where it had been stored before then.

I was suffering from a fuel starvation issue. Knew I had gas because I had just filled the tank (which turned out to be unfortunate). So this weekend I drained the tank and removed it. When I hosed it out I could not believe all the crap that was in the tank. There was at least a full cup of pea gravle, several drinking straws, a couple of popsicle sticks, a flat piece of rubber about the size of a half dollar, a bunch of broken glass and to top it all off a fork. While the tank was out I took the opportunity to paint everything from the rear end back. Now that everything is buttoned back up no more problems (knock on wood).

On a P15 does the hose from the heater control valve go to the heater connection on the right or left while looking at the firewall? Or does it matter which heater connection is connected to the valve and which is connected to the front of the engine?

I work for a Japanese electronic connector manufacturer and one of our distributors is DigiKey Electronics out of Thief River Falls, MN. They are a catalog only distributor and have an extensice online catalog. The link below will take you to a section of their catalog listing ring terminals, splices, blade terminals etc. There are several pages, some are insulated some are not. http://digi-key.dirxion.com/Main.asp?leftframe=categorytoc&leftpanel=0 They also have shrink tape, tubing, fabric, labels and many other components and connectors you may find interesting for wiring your car. They will accept credit card orders and on many items have fairly small minimum quantity buys. They sell over $10 million dollars worth of our products per year and we are like their 8th or 9th largest supplier so, they are a stable, reputable company.

Wow, plumbers don't look like that around here!

I have a Heat/AC unit to put in my car so didn't really want to spend any money to get defrost this winter. So, got to looking around the house and found that the extra hose on the vacumn cleaner fit the outlet on the heater and the inlet on the defroster duct almost perfectly. Add a little duct tape and Viola instant defroster duct. Of course, had to do a lot of splaining to the wife.

I have discussed the T5 for the P15 with Tom Langdon and he does offer a kit for the car. Pricier than the truck model but I don't remember what the price was. He did mention the Paul Curtis kit to me and said that Paul lives just down the road from Langdon and is a friend of his. Tom said that both kits (his and Paul's) installed ready to run would be about the same price that they just approached it a little differently. Give Tom a call he is more than willing to give advice and options. After discussing his kit with him I have decided to go ahead with my 53 R10 OD instead. Tom felt this was a good option and since I already had it was a lot less work and money involved with getting on the road. Always nice when a businessman is honest with his customers/potential customers and will steer them away from his own product when something else would work as well. Rather than just trying to sell you something.

Jim, take a look at this thread. Near the bottom of the thread there are some pictures from Bloodyknuckles of a manifold that I believe he built himself. Looks pretty good. http://www430.pair.com/p15d24/mopar_forum/showthread.php?p=21867#post21867

My wife has been making the pumpkin rolls for years. She does use pumpkin in her's though and a few more spices. 3 Eggs 1 Cup sugar 2/3 Cup Pumpkin 1 tsp Lemon Juice ¾ cup flour 1 tsp Baking Powder 2 tsp cinnamon 1 tsp Ginger 1/2 tsp Nutmeg 1/2 tsp Salt 1 Cup chopped Pecans 1 cup powdered sugar 8 oz cream cheese 4 Tbsp Butter ½ tsp vanilla She like John uses a dish towel and sprinkles powdered sugar on the towel before turning the cake out onto it. I am not a pumpkin eater at all, but have to admit these are good. Eat more than my fair share every year.

There is a guy here in Texas that sells a reasonably priced insulation. I have not used the product but have heard some good feedback. He is also an alliance vendor on the HAMB so if you are an alliance member you will get a 10% discount. The link is below. http://www.lobucrod.com/

OT Another MO ice storm (winter Plym screensaver)

Norm, My grandmother from Paducha, KY made us snow cream when we were kids. Don also in TN. So, I'm wondering if it was a regional thing since none of the damn Yankees have ever heard of it. -

Bob, Hope you get your power back on soon. Talked to my mom in Carl Junction this evening and she has been without power since very early Sunday morning. She said at least the roads are not too bad so they could go to Joplin for dinner. She said that as soon as this is cleared up she is going to check into getting a generator wired into the house's electrical system. This is twice she has been without power this year. A few years ago when the tornados went through she had a tree that was about 6 feet around take off the back half of her house. She there was so much damage in the area that it took about 2 months to get someone in to start the repairs on the house. She had a small portable generator then that would run her freezer but she had to add gas to it about every 2 hours. -
Don, All I can figure is that the rubber spring silencers were not completely covering the spring and the surface of the spring was rubbing against the "pocket" that they set in. Looking up into the top "pocket" of each spring as best I could, I could see the spring silencers were in place as they were supposed to be. Drove it to the office again this morning with no squeaks. Will be doing aobut 70 miles this afternoon so we will see.

A couple months after finishing my front end rebuild (which included new spring silencers) the coil springs started to develop a squeak. Since my 48 coupe is a daily driver it didn't take long for that squeak to become multiple squeaks. It sounded like I was driving around with a truck load of mice. Anyway, I was out in the garage and went to the tool box for a pair of needle nose. When I pulled them out of the drawer and saw the yellow rubber on the handle a light bulb went off in my head. I pulled the springs out, cleaned them up with a wire brush and mineral spirits then dipped them in a can of the rubber coating for tool handles that I got at the big orange store. Put three coats of rubber on each end of the spring then reinstalled them. On my first trip today there was 52 miles of silence. At least from the coil springs anyway. Will just have to wait to see how long this stuff will hold up. Hopefully for quite a while. Even if it doesn't, I'm out like $5.00 and a couple hours of work.
