  1. I have certainly read many warnings about the problems that can occur if detergent oil is used in a car that has been using non-detergent oil but I do not recall ever reading anything from someone who actually experienced any such problems. Is there anyone on this forum who has experienced such a problem? Jim Yergin
  2. Continuing a tradition begun 50+ years ago when Santa brought me a Lionel train set, my daughter and I set up the track around the Christmas tree last night. The locomotive is the same one Santa brought me but the train of woodies is of more recent date. Jim Yergin
  3. If I remember correctly, the very reason people were requested to put OT in their titles was to address your complaint. Seems to me it couldn't be any easier. If you see "OT" and that bothers you, don't read it. Nobody forces anyone to read everything that is posted and the OT heads-up prevents you from having to "wade" through anything you don't want to. I guess I just don't see your point. Jim Yergin
  4. Great pictures. Thanks for posting them. Jim Yergin
  5. On the Links section on the main page of this P15-D24 site you will find the contact information for Crank'en Hope Publications for factory manuals. Jim Yergin
  6. You can also find a download of the Borg Warner Overdrive Manual in the Downloads section of P15-D24.Com. I found it very helpful. Jim Yergin
  7. John, I soaked the inner works of my clock in a clock cleaning solution that I found online. Dissolves and removes all the old dirt and grease. Jim Yergin
  8. Went to school at William & Mary. Always enjoyed the Grand Illumination. Hope you have a great time. Jim Yergin
  9. Mark, Love to show it to you. Come on down. Jim Yergin
  10. Niel, It looks like if you come through earlier in the day you will miss the rain. Unfortunately I have to go out of town otherwise I would invite you stop by. Are you coming back through this way? Jim Yergin
  11. Yesterday I took advantage of the beautiful warm weather we have been experiencing here in Virginia to drive out to a client's old "hunt country" farm. Here is a picture of the car at the house. Jim Yergin
  12. Jay Leno has a video feature on a Mopar show in California. I thought it was interesting but I do question the "203" in the 1950 Desoto. http://www.jaylenosgarage.com/ Jim Yergin
  13. On the main section of this site in "Links" there are several sources listed for wiring harnesses. You might want to check those. Jim Yergin
  14. I used a Gabriel 81676. You can see my installation in this thread: http://www430.pair.com/p15d24/mopar_forum/showthread.php?t=13293&highlight=Shock Jim Yergin
  15. Thanks for the update Joe. I was wondering how it was going. Jim Yergin
  16. Well Chris, what else can you do with them? Drive them across the continent or to the Arctic Circle? Yea that will be the day. Jim Yergin
  17. According to my 1941 Plymouth parts book, only the 7 passenger sedan and the limo used a diifferent running board. For all the other cars there is only one runnning board on each side listed so they must have all used the same running board. Jim Yergin
  18. Fred, Are you sure the distributor is not 180' off? Jim Yergin
  19. Last Saturday I drove my '41 Plymouth woodie to the annual steeple chase races at Montpelier, Virginia. They are held on what was James Madison's estate. It is a day for tailgate picnics so my car was right at home. It is about 50 miles from my home and the car ran great both there and back. It was a beautiful fall day and we had a good time. Here is a short video of the horses going over a jump. Jim Yergin
  20. Check out this thread, posts #7 and #9. http://www430.pair.com/p15d24/mopar_forum/showthread.php?p=270317#post270317 Jim Yergin
  21. I am using 15" wheels from a P15 on my '41 Plymouth with disc brakes front and rear and my '41 hub caps. No clearance problems. Jim Yergin
  22. That's impressive. Nice work. Jim Yergin
  23. Looks great Joe. I look forward to seeing it in person. Maybe when Chet brings his car to N. Va. we can get together with him and Rodney and our various vehicles. Jim Yergin
  24. Nice work Chris. Gotta love it. Jim Yergin
