  1. I was just wondering because my new combo contains modern engine but stock radiator, and I'm not certain which cap to use. I quess I'll try with the higher press modern style.
  2. At 18 I flipped over my buddys Beetle real bad, the b-pillars broke from four spots and we had no seat belts. The battery under backseat got loose and hit my head. Nothing major to us but the car was totalled. 2001 I was racing my Super Gas Barracuda at European Championship Drag race and the engine blew up and the flying oil caught fire, I was in a hurry to get out the car when the speed exceeded 130mph and my ankles were on fire. The day before I blew up the tranny and the day before that the engine on my tow truck let go so that was a perfect weekend. Nothing happened to the trailer:p
  3. This is easy fix... Been there done that! Wife was sweeping the terrace with a broom, and hubby walks by stating " Do you have a flight tonight"?
  4. What happens if one uses a higher rated modern cap with stock radiator?
  5. Hrrrrrrrr... -34c today, so I'm packing the family into big 'ol jetliner and heading to Orlando in two weeks, for two weeks, to enjoy life. First weekend is Daytona bikes, then Disney, Universal, malls etc. during the week and then NHRA Gatornats the following weekend. Maybe some shuttles in Cape Canaveral too. My sons (4 and 7) are so excited, maybe even more than me:D Tips are warmly welcome, we are staying in Kissimmee and there seems to be big cruise every weekend in old town. I have been so busy in the garage that I haven't even posted any updates of my build lately, but as a sidenote I can say that it's guaranteed to be on the road when summer comes, as planned.
  6. I've been using the advertising board plastic nowadays. The one they are using on roadside ads, kinda honeycomb structure. It is easy to form with carpet knife, is light and doesn't suck moisture or warp like wood and cardboard. I will take pics of the finished product after I get the upholstering done.
  7. That'll be a compliment Ed
  8. Sure greg now they are finnished, truly. Pekka, one day I was sitting in the traffic lights waiting for the green go. A 90's Fiat Brava was in front of me and it's taillights caught my attention, what if... I then bought a pair, cut them in three pieces and fabricated my new tail sheetmetal to fit. I had to drill a hole in the plastic base for second bulb, but other that that they are "direct replacement":D They are not exactly flush, the lens pop out a little, maybe half an inch or so I'm not expecting to see another similar setup anytime soon.
  9. It's a shame my garage is so tiny I can't get proper pics, and the weather doesn't allow me to take the puppy outside. I'd like to see the full view myself also, how do these sit in the "big picture" with removed gas cap, roller pan, removed door locks etc. Hopefully it'll be smooth and serve my vision as planned.
  10. No bad cars in my possession, ever. (Am I the only one on the forum who can over and over fool himself to believe that the deal was great and worthy...)
  11. Godspeed Norm, you will be missed.

  16. I can read them in car, but I agree a little white or silver in letters wouldn't hurt either.
  17. Tiny update is that I made my knobs with same method, only changed the candy color.
  18. Thanks for sharing Ralph these are classics
  19. I just purchased mine from these guys http://stores.ebay.com/Auto-Headliner-Mart If the product is half way as good as the comms from this Jim dude, it's gonna be good. They also carry matching windlace and stuff.
