  9. Gotta agree on that hole punch set, I have used mine many times over the years. Works great on rubber as well as any type of gasket material. I try to make any gasket I can and this has made the job easier.

  11. I believe timing chain and sprockets changed in 55.
  12. GL-4 is still out there, I get it at Napa, you probably won't find it at Wally World or other box stores. Of course it's more expensive.
  13. Nice photo Don, any idea of the location? Frank
  14. I lived in the Detroit area in the late sixties, in the Warren area there was a wrecking yard that had a Cord up on a pole as a sign. Anyone live in that part of the country? How long did that stay up there?
  15. Looks like it's fluid drive.
  16. Really nice photos, especially the close up of your bud, smart looking eyes. My buddy road shotgun almost every day for 15 years, man what a heartbreaker it was to loose him.
  17. Has anyone used the oil slinger on the early style engine? If this will work can you just plug the hole for the tube and use the slinger instead? Can you use the original early style timing chain sprocket with the slinger? I believe there are two styles of timing chains, will only one style timing chain work with the slinger or will any chain and sprocket work? Thanks for any input on this. Frank
  18. Google lubriplate 115, go to lubriplate web store.
  19. Looks like bleeders on a brake booster.
  20. What color was this truck? I'm guessing red with black. Sad it was totaled, great photo.
  21. Stihl is tops with me, I've got an 041 super with 24" Oregon bar and most aggresive Oregon super chip chain, can't be beat. Timber fallers I know use Stihl.
  22. Vintage Power Wagon would be worth a try.
  23. Shel Bizzy, how well does that set of stud pullers work? Mine is a different type, it's a steel disc 2" dia. with a knurled cam inside that grips the stud. Looks like I may want to update my tools.
