  1. Hi All, I was delighted to read William's (Norman Pitkin's) post about the Rhythm Riot. The event was fantastic.... Three days and nights with music and dancing 'til 5.00am.... I'm still recovering! Someone sent me this link to a YouTube video you may enjoy. Look out for Deano's green P15 sedan at 1.22 and 8.15. William's Chrysler at 1.52, 8.22 and 13.57 And my P15 convertible at 9.46, 11.28 and 12.38 Plus lots of great on-the-road shots of over 100 cars, including a handful of other Mopars. At 4.18 you can see the beautiful 1956 bus that we hire to run a shuttle service throughout the weekend. It also leads the cruise on Sunday afternoon. Hope you enjoy the film. Robin.
  2. Bob, If the costs aren't too crazy I'd probably take at least one as a spare. Good luck with the project. R.
  3. Here you go. My two favorite girls...
  4. Hey Niel, The station wagon in the background is a MkII Ford Consul, Zephyr or Zodiac - I think it's a Zephyr, judging by the rear panel and lights. These station wagons were bodied by a company called Farnham, on behalf of Ford. They are very rare, nowadays. There is a feature on one in the current issue of Classic & Sports Car magazine. Here's a Zodiac...
  5. Great thread Bob. Thanks for posting. Surprised you missed this one...
  6. I have SoCal Speed Shop swan-necks on my P15. They work great, although I have put a stick-on convex mirror on the one on the passenger side (I need the extra wide view when the top's up).
  7. O'Brien Truckers are the guys who cast most of the club plaques. They did our Rhythm Riot tag toppers. Nice product but they don't work out cheap. http://www.obrientruckers.com/homepage.htm
  8. The December issue of OCTANE magazine includes a 4-page feature on the Rhythm Riot festival that I organise, in the UK. It includes a nice shot of me and my wife with our P15 convertible, plus several other great cars seen at the event. Just thought you might like to see this...
  9. Here's the definitive answer - from factory pictures... Original press picture and Ross Roy Data Book pictures below. So it's horizontal on the bumpers, vertical on the bumperettes. That would seem to make sense, following the midlines of each part.
  10. That's a beauty! Welcome aboard. I'm running twin carbs and Fenton headers - it makes a huge difference. Have fun. Robin.
  11. The skirt trims are 1941 Buick. Harry Westergard used them on his cars (see example below) and they became quite a hot item for customisers. So much so, that other companies re-cast them, or produced similar trims in the 40s and 50s. Mine are original Buick.
  12. Actually, I really like the very first picture. The bad girl with the pink cocktail cigarette. Like a still from a 1950s B-movie.
  13. I think she's just making fine adjustments... Mighty fine adjustments!
  14. You wanted more.... Rarely has a P15 looked this good!
  15. OK Guys, You said you wanted to see more, so here goes. I really hope nobody finds these shots offensive. If you do, please PM me and I'll remove them.
  16. C'mon guys. We're a big friendly 'flathead family' on here. Kinda like 'The Waltons on wheels'. We all share the good times and the bad, the successes and the failures, and the hopes and the despair of old car ownership. And, just like a real family, we cross each other, occasionally say things we don't really mean, or misinterpret things others have said. I still say this is one of the friendliest Forums you'll find, and one that shares a wealth of invaluable information, advice and encouragement. Nothing's perfect... but P15-D24.com comes close. There. I feel better now. Goodnight, John Boy!
  17. Rocker trims are the same across all P15 models. Those are valuable pieces, especially the passenger side trim. So you've made a nice find. Look carefully and you'll see that the profile of the 'pointed' end is handed, so check before fitting that you have them on the correct sides.
  18. On Tuesday I loaned my car to a photographer friend, for a photo shoot with a very glamorous young woman. Here's the first of the pictures he's sent through. He did take some more raunchy shots with exposed garters. Maybe I'll post some if he sends them to me, but I wouldn't want to cause any offence. Hope you like this one, anyway.
  19. Hey Pekka, That's a nice car. Here's my friend's 51 Nash. He imported it to the UK earlier this year.
  20. Hey Chet, The old girl's looking great. Congratulations.
  21. Wow. Looks like a very decent car for the money. Windshield wiper towers will be hard to find, so it's worth checking if the seller has those parts. Also looks like it has no rear bumper and I can't see the 'TOP' knob on the right of the dash. Could still be a great bargain, though.
  22. Go to Saturday 2nd Results and look at Class 7 - 'People with Flat Heads'. Yes, that's really what they wrote! Here's a link... http://www.prescott-hillclimb.com/uploads/Results%202%20Oct.pdf
  23. Hi Greg, That's Clarks Ford Coupe - not sure if I'd really have a chance of taking the honors from him on the hill! I was hoping to go there on Saturday but things didn't work out. My hopped up P15 was accepted as a member of the Vintage Hot Rod Association who were the special guests at Prescott. In fact, check this link and you'll see my car top right, on the promo web page... http://www.prescott-hillclimb.com/october2010.aspx
  24. I drove a bride to her wedding a couple of weeks ago and the official photographer just emailed me this picture. It's been adjusted with the use of a polarisation filter and makes the car look amazing. Just thought I'd share it.
  25. Hmmm. I kinda like this one...
