Yesterday was the traditional first car meet of the season in the UK...
Surrey Street Rodders Wheels Day.
As always, a bunch of us met up at the Ace Cafe to cruise to the show together.
The weather forecast was atrocious, so some of the guys had already decided not to take their cars, although we did end up with 9, including mine and Deano's P15s and a really nice 60 Plymouth.
Anyway, the rain came... and fell hard... and turned the field into a swamp.
It also got really cold so we spent a lot of the time sitting in our cars.
Sadly, my car now has a problem with the exhaust. Either a small split or a loose baffle in one of the silencers. It's making a horrible noise and the balance of the engine has been thrown completely.
One to fix!
Even worse... one of the other guys had to have his 36 Ford coupe recovered from the roadside.
His generator bracket broke, launching the fan forward... through the rad!
It looked nasty!
All in all, an eventful day out.
I still enjoyed it, though!
