Some of us have been following your problem with your George Asche Trans, Please keep us advised of your findings. I've got to say that I go along with Reg when he said "I don't understand a couple of the other posters attitudes". Come on guys, thanks to gtk, we have the beat Forum going, lets keep it that way.

My grandad used them, my dad used them, I use them and our son uses them on our carburated engines. We haven't had a vaper lock problem. (knock on wood)

I made the same request a few weeks ago when our daughter broke her back and we received some good karma and prayers from the members of this forum. So Dan we will gladly include your son Zach in our prayers.

I am running a six bladed fan. It was on the engine when I bought the car. The previous owner was having overheating problems. After I bought the car I changed the water distrubtion tube it runs at 180-185, so I not changing anything.

Howard, Sorry to here about your problems. Thank's for the heads up. I had some of the same problems with a guy in Apple Valley, Ca. When I got my 48 back from him 2 years ago, it was worse than when I sent it to him. I am still trying to save some more money so I can get it re-done.
The paint is still cracking and the door liners are perminately water stained. (he wet sanded with the windows open).
