Well, I was surprised again to receive several phone calls that a picture of PLYWOOD was in our local paper, The Arizona Republic, in regards to car shows in my town, Gilbert. I went to the paper's office this AM and asked for some back copies of the Thursday, June 23rd paper. There on the front page of the "cars" section was an article and a very nice photo of PLYWOOD. The evening this photo was taken was especially touching because we were raising funds, that night, to pay for a head stone, for a young man. This 19 year youngster was traveling to Phoenix to receive cancer treatment and was killed in a freak crash, while in route. His Mom was in attendance and we were honored to have raised $350 towards the purchase of an appropriate head stone for her son. I wasn't even aware that someone was taking photos of the cars that night and am deeply touched by having this article to remember such a memorable evening of good hearted people reaching out to help some one in time of need. Some of the kids who were racing their slot cars went around the parking lot with a plastic bucket collecting funds for the headstone; which was a wonderful way for them to experience watching out for others.
